Whilst pretty meh, and a ripoff of past works, this beats their other singles easily

I'm really not getting good vibes from these new songs. =/
Maybe they'll all fit together on the album or maybe it's just not for me.

Yeah. I think this one is one of the better ones.

I really didn't like 'Kill The DJ' at all. I couldn't listen to it. This one is okay though.

Good, catchy song. No complaints here.

This and Let Yourself Go are solid. The other two are bad.

I've been a GD fan for a while. This one beats the other singles, but they're all fairly mediocre. Let's face it, their last album was meh. American Idiot is fantastic, though. Has anyone made the joke about how "Kill the DJ" should be changed to "Kill the Green Day"? If not, I just did.

Yikes...the song really is American Idiot 2!

Anyway, the video was pretty much there (though I was picturing a giant flag in the background that shot out orange slime this time instead of green).

Geez...maybe the times just aren't the same anymore, but Green Day's older albums used to be (and still are) fun to listen to! I even really enjoyed "American Idiot." Huh.

@MadMikeLove

They may not be making the same quality of music, but their concerts are still fantastic. They put forth much more energy than most bands (except maybe Hardcore Punk and Noise shows).

I'm not getting the hate for Kill the DJ. It could've been like a minute shorter, but other than that I thought it was a cool sound.

This wasn't too bad, either. Nothing new, like Let Yourself Go, but still preferable to Oh Love.

The very first preview videos way back made me excited Green Day was going in a new mature yet funky
direction. Now it seems they are just continuing on the same path, extending on 21st century breakdown,
maybe with a bit more of original Green Day.

His approach to writing new songs needs to change, everything I hear by these guys sounds pretty much the same. AND get a second guitarist, the songs get pretty boring.

@JazzHands333

Kill The DJ does have a cool sound, but the chorus takes up too much of the song. And since it's not a very good chorus, that doesn't help either.

Green Day was never really punk but they were a band that made 105.9 the X enjoyable in the 90's.

freedomofspeechnoway

The joke was that Green Day are old and way past their time since their recent music after American Idiot blew so hard and completely destroyed the feeling they created with AI. Also... Green Day is (or was) punk.

Then it wasn't a joke at all, but rather how you view the band. Which, frankly, is an inaccurate view at best. When these albums go multi platinum you can continue thinking they are 'past their time', but you would just have a skewed sense of the term. And again, 'old' is subjective. You must be too young to understand these things. Only really young people call people that aren't that old, 'old'.
