If you've ever found yourself disappointed at the lack of nautical festival options for the casual indie music fan, Goldenvoice have just made your day. The S.S. Coachella, a three-day cruise through the Bahamas (Dec. 16-19) or Jamaica (Dec. 19-23) departing from and returning to Ft Lauderdale, Florida, will unite musicians, fans, and casual gamblers alike aboard the Celebrity Silhouette, an enormous luxury cruise ship.
The line-up includes headliners and Brit-rock heroes Pulp alongside the likes of Hot Chip, Yeasayer, a DJ-set from LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy, and the dominating duo of El-P and Killer Mike, among others.
If you're lucky, you may find yourself at the martini bar with the talented women of Warpaint, or at the champagne high tea with the guys from Cloud Nothings.
