Love this band. Can't wait for the album.

This is pretty cool. Really dig the heavy ambient influence. Definitely feels like an album that you'll appreciate more the more you listen to it as well.

not bad

I hear great things about this new album

I hear great things about this new album too, but I don't hear great things when I actually listen to it.

This is relevant to my interests, I think I'll listen now.

I've only heard it twice so far but it seems like a pretty subtle album. The focus isn't really on the riffs but more on the atmosphere and progression of the whole thing. Some people will like that more than others for sure.

yea the ambiance basically takes the front stage along side the grooves so their pretty much balanced. Def. a unique mix of post-metal and groove metal-makes for a pretty intense listening experience.

It's simpler than that really. Out of the massive djent (ughthatname.) scene there is, this band does nothing to carve out it's own identity or build something that would make you want to keep coming back and spin the record.

I haven't personally heard a djent album that sounds like this. The closest thing is Tesseract but the ambiance on this is dialed way, way up. Also, it has a much more carnal, powerful sound whereas Tesseract is more ethereal and melody-centric.

Was thinking the same thing first time I heard it. I listened to their EP a while back and I don't even remember it. This on the other hand grabbed me almost immediately. I really feel this has the potential to grow into one of my favorite albums in this style. I already really enjoy it and it doesn't feel like a flimsy, instant gratification kind of enjoyment.

Great album so far. Needs a few more listens, but it might make my end of year list.
