House Vs. Hurricane Vocalist Leaves

2011-10-09 by InFiction | 13 Comments
Australian Post Hardcore band House Vs Hurricane have announced that Chris Dicker, former frontman and screaming vocalist has left the band. A statement from Dicker was posted on the band's Facebook page:

"I don't wish to ramble on and make this any more about me than it should be. I've made the choice to be truthful to higher priorities in my life to this point, but that is not without saying that the past 5 years with Chris and Ryan, and the fleeting few years with Dylan and Sam, have been the best years of my life to date. I wish them nothing but good fortune and happiness in the future, and wish to see them achieve everything they dream with this band as their medium. I'll continue to play music always, just not in such a full-time capacity."

The band will embark on one last national tour before Dicker's departure.

Band needs to make a four-point-five-worthy album or just break up.

Forfeiture EP was amazing. Perspectives was shithouse. Singer was definitely the weakest member of the band.

I had Forfeiture on repeat some years ago, and as I eagerly listened to their LP I came to the conclusion that it was a snoozefest.

Perspectives is a massive grower. Couldn't stand it to begin with, but it's at least a 4 for me.
