Sects is ok. I just think they're capable of much better. Especially when they're not giving Deathspell a reach-around. Album art is pretty cool, at least. Better than Sects.

I really really disagree with this statement every time i see it. Blut Aus Nord was playing Deathspell way before Deathspell was......

They started doing the whole dissonant black metal thing around the same time, Blut aus Nord being the first by maybe a year or so. But lately I think they're taking more from Deathspell Omega than the other way around.

Band is way too prolific.

eh I don't think that's true angel, and even if it was, I think both bands are enjoyable and fairly distinctive from each other in their own right. :]

I've been thinking about listening to these guys, which album should I start with?

I'd recommend starting at the beginning chronologically.
