their last album was pretty terrible.

the only good thing about godsmack is that shannon did the drums for Worship & Tribute. that's probably not a fair statement. i did listen to these guys quite a lot as a kid but i really can't stand them now.

Don't care about the hate Godsmack gets, becuase Awake is a kickass album, and the band has written some great songs.

Crying like a bitch sucks ass. I used to like this band, it was one of the nu metal bands that I cant stand anymore.

Godsmack really confuses me. Back when Faceless came out they were probably my favorite band. That album was awesome. The problem is, they seem to think they are a lot better than they really are. Yes, they put on a great show and they have some good songs, but overall they are very limited in their talent. Also, their lyrics are very mediocre verging on generic most of the time. Cryin like a bitch is a generic throw away song. The new album art is really nice but it does not fit this music! I really hope I am wrong and the rest of this album is epic, but I doubt it. Sully needs to stop writing the music and lyrics. I think he has a great hard rock/metal voice and needs to find a band with better musicians. He would be better off as just a vocalist and leave the music and lyric writing to somebody else.

I don't think that would do it. Because their lead guitarist has shown that he's not very creative because pretty much every solo sounds the same. And their drummer is pretty solid as well. Band has just run out of material. I'll try really hard to like this album but it'll end up being a couple good songs and a lot of filler. Just like their last 2.
