Pretty good

Haven't gotten into these guys properly yet. Thier vocalist is pretty amazing

Good footage, I like this version. I think the vocal layering is pretty brutal.
|
| |
I actually enjoyed that.
|

Wtf. Not enough Angela and too dark :P The vocals were pretty brutal, but I'm glad the rest of the album doesn't sound that layered... layering like that doesn't really let her personality shine through.

Ughhhhhhhh, modern production makes those instruments sound amazing compared to the original, but those vocals... ugh Liiva destroys.
|
| |
Liiva sounds like such a fag I can barely listen to black earth, Angela is so much better
|
| |
I kind of expected that the vocals on The Root of All Evil would sound like Angela, but they don´t. Still sounds better than the original, though.

"Liiva sounds like such a fag I can barely listen to black earth, Angela is so much better"
Pretty much. He just wasn't aggressive or emotional enough for the music. Palm muting needs growlies, not yellies.
It's really only this song that doesn't sound like Angela. The other songs aren't layered as much. Go listen to Demonic Science or Dark Insanity. Her vocals are also much more aggressive on this album, so it's even better :--)
|
| |
that's what made Liiva better
he didn't sound like every other DM vocalist and he didn't growl just for the sake of sounding brootal
|
| |
Yeah Liiva didn't have his vocals layered in studio to sound more demonic either.
|
| |
At least it was better than the new "Bury Me an Angel" version.
|
| |
Yeah true.
|
| |
It was pretty good. I like Johan Liiva better for this particular song however, and probably most of Stigmata. I mean, technically he sucked but on some of the songs it worked.
