The Honorary Title To Break Up 2009-10-01 by Observer EMERITUS | 10 Comments | The Honorary Title mainman Jarrod Gorbel has hinted the band could break up in the near future.
In an interview with Clevescene.com, Gorbel stated: "Nobody knows — you heard it first. I mean, people know, but it's not 100 percent because it's kind of confusing what the Honorary Title is. It's kind of like Bright Eyes.
"Was Bright Eyes Conor Oberst, or was it something else? Is Dashboard Confessional Chris Carrabba, or is it that band he put together?"

The way he mentions Bright Eyes/Conor Oberst has me thinking that he'll still keep making music, but solo without the Honorary Title moniker, which would be fine with me. He just released a pretty decent solo ep.
I've never seen the band because they usually play a 21+ venue in Little Rock, but I saw Jarrod and Dustin play a full acoustic set and it was easily the best acoustic set I've ever seen. Usually acoustic bores me.
