HORSE the Band have entered the studio to begin work on their new record, Desperate Living. The album is the band's fourth and debut for Vagrant Records. The band is recording at White Buffalo Studios in Los Angeles with producer Noah Shain.

The group is aiming for a mid-Summer release. The band also recruited Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu who will be helping with sound construction. Stewart explained:

"Horse the Band has asked me to try to help them make a dying robot, an exploding keyboard, a dream laugh and a melted, drastic flute of redemption. Lucky for you and for me they have the wit and creativity to turn these things into music."

The group issued A Natural Death in 2007.

i didnt think A Natural Death was that bad, but it definitely is weak compared to R. Borlax and The Mechanical Hand. hopefully the new one will be a bit more exciting
