Yeah, they're decent. Pretty much the same as before.

Not sure how this is going to compare to The Fall Of Ideals though. Album art looks quite cool. This Message Edited On 07.21.08

Those actually sound a little weaker than previous stuff. Even then this should be good.

I did think they sounded a little bit weaker as well, but I've only had a few listens.
Either that's someone else on the track or Phil's changed his clean vocals.

I don't really like the chorus of Before The Damned. It's an odd direction for them to take, but it's not really any kind of improvement. If anything it's less impressive.

The vocals just sound a lot different, unless there's a guest spot. This Message Edited On 07.21.08

I really didn't enjoy 'Before the Damned' much at all. In my opinion, 'Relinquish' is much better, but neither of these two songs compare to any track on The Fall of Ideals.
I'm disappointed to say the least.

Wow. That was.. disappointing. Did not expect a The Fall of Ideals part 2 and it isn't, but not in a positive way. Don't like the mix or vocals and Before the Damned sounds uninspired.

That didn't blow nearly as bad as I was expecting.
It's good enough for 18 year olds in black t-shirts to throw punches and do windmills to, but I can't help feeling like I've heard it all before.

Didn't like his screaming in Before The Damned but the guitar work on the second half was cool. Relinquish sounds pretty standard overall once more being saved from some nifty guitar work. The mix is a bit odd and I was definitely expecting something a little better than this. Not a total disaster though, I'll still spin the record.

I like the new screams/growls, but his clean vocals are weak...The music itself was pretty good, but not as strong as The Fall of Ideals.

his vocals and the entire tone sound a bit darker, not really a fan of the new vocal style. Everything else is pretty good.

Is it just me or did his vocals completely go to shit? I mean they were never that great but damn........

it sounds like they are trying to be way more intense and failing miserably. shitty lyrics, drumming is weaker than lucas' drumming, vox are off, plus its generic metalcore.

in summation...its shit

It sounds more generic than 'The Fall Of Ideals' but they are still not generic, good songs and a great band.

I still can't help but like the chorus because of his clean vocals, but wtf happened to his voice? I liked the one on Fall Of Ideals better..

Omg the more I listen to it the clean vocals start to sound like.......Bullet for my Valentine...which is bad

I've listened to these a bit more, and I definitely think it's a step down from The Fall Of Ideals, and I don't like the new clean vocals either. There better be some redeeming song son this album or else, booo. This Message Edited On 07.22.08

Yeah it might be a step down from TFOI, but its still good. His harsh vocals are better. The cleans are weaker, but it doesnt really bother me. I think this album is going to be really good.
