I'm interested to see what the new album will sound like, but I don't really see it being all that great.

I have a feeling it'll be great for some reason, and then everyone'll forget about the 10 years of garbage they've produced.

MCcp3000:

Yep, because it is so likely that they will name their new album "Mission Metallica". I feel bad for calling you on it, given that I should realise that you just bagged Metallica, and are therefore cool.

And how is it pretentious?

How is it NOT pretentious??????

Okay.... Offering the people who are interested in the cd to get an early listen to the cd. Sounds like a fairly common marketing ploy to me. Of course, I had failed to take into account the fact that its metallica, and therefore has to be a bad thing.

They may be pretentious, but to label this as pretentious is just patently ridiculous.

Wow... I see I was wrong. Thankyou for helping me see the error of my ways with your completely overwhelming logic.

You even used italics to help me understand. And bolded words.

Calling all of Metallica's post-Black Album stuff 'crap' and 'garbage' can only show how dumb you are.

It is pretentious because they act as though we are going to "experience" their music as opposed to "listen" to their music.

Its like we are getting that much closer to reaching nirvana if we listen to this album.

Pretentious, washed up and non-relevant. Quit before you make even bigger fools of yourselves, Metallica.

There is no way this can live up to St. Anger's standards.

I think they way they have hyped this album up (middle-eastern flair, complex song structures and guitar solos, 'the missing link' between AJFA and the black album, etc.) is only serving to enhance the disappointment.

I think this is a really good idea if the album really isn't coming out until September.
Seriously,no matter how bad the album is, it'll be great to listen to it before the summer tour because I'm seeing them in Bergen and at Reading Festival and it would be great to hear through it before then to learn the songs and sing along.

cSsteFa,
Opinions aren't right or wrong, just intelligent or dumb! Guess what category you fall under?
