Led Zeppelin is probably the best popular music band ever. Beatles started it (I too dislike their material), but Zeppelin defined it, in my opinion.

true dat. So many bands woudn't exist and music would be so much worst if it weren't for the beatles. The only people that can't enjoy the beatles are bland metal fans who are so overly critical and one sided about their opinions that they can't see how the good the beatles truly are. Go look at the top albums for the ones of all time. Beatles on there twice.

I'd like to know where you got that "Best Albums Ever" list. PLEASE say Rolling Stone, the paragon of musical credibility. Beatles are good but omfg overrated. Zeppelin does it for me in any mood far better than the Beatles do.

I don't really care much for the Beatles but you can't deny how popular they were and the contribution they had to music. Any comment of them being overated is obviously a biased comment

It amazes me how some people are so ignorant about music influences. You dont have to like the beatles but they were excellent and indespensible for the progression of music. Same goes for zep 2. Its a shame about zep, i did try for tickets but failed. Thank got their not releasing a new album, would ruin their reputation.

ok they are both amazing bands but you cant really put them against one another though bc they had different influences on music...led zeppelin got more into the longer more instrumentally based version of rock..whcich spurred tens of tohushansds of rock bands probablly more....the beatles were more influential in the pop aspect of rock..the singability and the catchy tunes... which helped many songwriters and bands figure out ways to make cathcy lyrics and remorable tunes
they each were superbly influential bands...but for different things
so really its kinda dumb to pit thme against each other
