i love how they like to throw in some random album
|
| |
Wow I've actually heard two albums off of this one...
|
| |
I hate lists like this that try to be serious.
|
| |
Yeah serious lists are fags.
|
| |
These lists mean nothing and I hate them... and putting Minutes To Midnight at 25 is just criminal. (I mean it shouldn't be on the list, not that it should be higher)
|
| |
it was allright, missing alot of metal though, the heaviest shit on that list was probobly Down. where's my skeletonwitch motherfuckers?
|
| |
well that's about what i expect from rolling stone.
|
| |
I love how there's never any artist you can't find at your local Walmart's music section in these "official lists".
|
| |
Yea, they're just not very hip and underground like all of us awesome Sputnikers. So take solace in that fact that you're oh so hip and underground and that the Rolling Stone is just, like, y'know, a mainstream (Uck) publication.

These lists just taylor to the magazine's target audience, I don't see what the hate is about. If I ran a metal magazine, I wouldn't tell my readers that the best album of the year was Person Pitch. This Message Edited On 12.19.07

I love Rolling Stone magazine! But the only thing I've heard offa that list is "In Rainbows."

She's #1 in my heart. But that sucks that she topped rolling stone. Now every douchebag will know who she is and that ruins it for all the real fans. This Message Edited On 12.21.07

I'm alright with this. That album blows you away if you're privileged enough to go into it without any other hangups.
It's been all-the-fuck-over MTV for the one or two times I've tuned in to MTV or MTV2 the past 2 months. The way they've spammed the shit out of her music or clips of concert performances in between EVERY show and bump is fucking sickening.
I've been such a huge Thrice fan for about 4 years now, and I am letting Alchemy Index engulf my soul. It is so incredible, I am so glad they brought themselves back into what Thrice should be after Vheissu, and STILL managing to sound like they're progressing and doing cool shit without sounding pretentious or artsy.
And still, I think M.I.A. beat out Thrice this year. It's just way innovative, and her message behind the album and her whole deal in general is very challenging to people around the world. I just dig her and her album, and I won't let fucking MTV soil it or turn it into the next source of cool juice for the kids at the clubs.
