Septa are (not) back

2026-04-10 by Eugene Tymchyk | 1 Comments
Ukrainian post-smth-core band Septa are back with the new release titled On (Not) Losing Hope.

Recorded during the ongoing russian invasion of Ukraine and produced by Connor Sweeney (ex-Loathe), the two-track release captures the band at their most raw and introspective. If I Look Back I Am Lost and Let It Rip are two sides of the same coin — paralysis and release, despair and the stubborn refusal to surrender to it.

"This represents our collective state of mind being trapped in-between places, hoping for things that will never come, reminiscing about our loss," says vocalist Eugene Tymchyk. "Not a huge comeback — but something more reflective of the world, the times, the country, the band."

Very interesting .. writing music during a fucking 4+ year occupation must have a lot of emotion to draw from ..
