RIP Bo Lueders

2026-04-04 by gregorgojira | 19 Comments
Bohan Daniel Lueders, co-founder of Chicago hardcore punk band Harm's Way, and co-host of the Hardlore podcast has passed away at the age of 38. The news was reported by Colin Young, the other half of the Hardlore podcast. Writing "It is with heavy, broken hearts that we share that our beloved Bo Lueders has passed away."

No cause of death was given, but the suicide and crisis lifeline was linked at the end of the caption.

Bo founded Harm's Way in 2006 after playing in many Chicago hardcore bands in the years prior. Originally a side project of The Few and Proud. The band went on to release 5 albums and 5 EPs, with a new studio release on the way in 2026.

No further statements as to the future of Harm's Way or Hardlore were given; simply asking for "grace and privacy as we navigate this extremely difficult time."

Terrible to die so young. Caught Harms Way twice as support acts in the past and they fucking brought it. RIP

Absolutely tragic loss. I discovered Hardlore back in December when I was going through a very difficult time. Bo and Colin's friendship and chemistry made me a better person and helped improve my outlook on life itself. Though it was only parasocial and I unfortunately never got to meet him in person, Bo's magnetic personality and steadfast kindness and warmness to others made me feel like I lost a true friend.

RIP brother. Hardlore forever.

Fuck man, huge loss. I’ve seen Harms Way a bunch and actually took a pic of my friend with him after a show, super sweet guy.

This is so tragic. I don’t really have words.

RIP hard to a modern core legend. Between Harm's Way and Hardlore Bo really showed his passion and love for this shit on the daily. Sending lots of love and healing to everyone affected by this tragedy.

RIP Bo. I didn't listen to Harms Way but l caught a few eps of Hardlore. He seemed like a fantastic guy and l loved his dynamic with Colin. Glad to see so many tributes for him on IG and the Gofundme has done so well. Talk to your friends or family when you're feeling like you're in a bad space, it's hard but it's worth it trust me.

I was personally in a very bad headspace during the COVID times and came far too close to taking my own life. Telling people around me helped me so much and l am in a much better place now.

Suicides always devastate me. Riff forever Bo.

It’s crazy to imagine hurting like this over a guy I never met but I been watching Hardlore since the beginning and been a fan of Harms way for years since post human. Always enjoyed Bo’s outlook and positivity. He seemed like such a light in the hardcore community. Obviously we never know the battles someone is facing but I would have never guessed he was hurting this bad. He seemed to have everything in front of him, him and girlfriend just got a place Hardlore was blowing up and Harms way was pretty popular but that just goes to show that pain he was in. RIP BO

Yeah don’t bother with dwelling on that. World would be a much better place with more Bo’s and less dumbass incel losers posting comments on a second rate metal tabloid
