Definitely a behemoth song
|
| |
“I’ve seriously been wrestling with destructive tendencies in pop culture - cancel culture, social media”
ho boy this is really gonna suck isn’t it hahahah.
|
| |
Song is pretty good
Better than anything they did in their 1999-2009 era
|
| |
based behemoth
|
| |
opus contra naturam seems like an incredibly loose translation of "going against the current"....
|
| |
is it september 16th yet?
|
| |
yeah i was like 'a work against nature' ok sounds behemothy then he drops that and im like...ok. at least the latins correct unlike every other bm album
|
| |
Song's okay.
The music video on the other hand feels like one of those horror movie teasers where they cut everything except the good parts out.
In other words, bretty good.
|
| |
poggerino?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?
|
| |
they've been on autopilot for a while now, but i'm still excited
|
| |
lol

maybe in the context of the album this will be a more interesting track. Really dug the Satanist and can't remember a thing about ILYAYD, so curious where this will land for me
|
| |
“This album is my middle finger to that”
so edgy
|
| |
OK song, feels a bit flat idk.
|
| |
Really like the video, but the song is aggressively boring. Hard pass on boomer metal bands that aren't remotely transgressive anymore talking about fucking cancel culture of all things.
|
| |
>Better than anything they did in their 1999-2009 era
hahaha, you so funny.
|
| |
i mean if yall didnt keep calling them nazis this wouldnt have happened
|
| |
ok song but incredible video
|
| |
Boring af
|
| |
"Hard pass on boomer metal bands that aren't remotely transgressive anymore talking about fucking cancel culture of all things."
It's even more ironic coming from a frontman who has been persecuted by the catholic church. I'm looking forward to the mental gymnastics he's gonna pull trying to equate that to being roasted on Twitter.
|
| |
"i mean if yall didnt keep calling them nazis this wouldnt have happened"
idk if he's a nazi or something, haven't really seen that evidence, but it was a tad concerning when he cheerily told a tour story of watching a bunch of guys rape a woman and him having no issue at all with it.
|
| |
Nothing screams subversion and counter culture more than sounding like a fossilised republican.
|
| |
saw a twitter comment minutes ago that i assume is about this which resonates pretty well: "not to be a gatekeeper but making an album about how people are mean to you on social media for your political opinions is one of the least metal things you can do as a band."
|
| |
"It's even more ironic coming from a frontman who has been persecuted by the catholic church. I'm looking forward to the mental gymnastics he's gonna pull trying to equate that to being roasted on Twitter."
Where's the irony? Because cancel culture = removal of what is not approved by a controlling body i.e. the church looking to eliminate Nergal? (though I imagine his gripe might be more likely with entities like twitter?)
Has the definition of irony been changed in recent years?
|
| |
basic ass song
|
| |
by all means shout it from the rooftops so he gets crucified then and make sure everyone knows on every thread
just save the chihuahua
|
| |
Decent song, just nothing groundbreaking or new. Was kind of skeptical after not liking the first single of their last album, but the album ended up being pretty good overall. Hopefully it's the same here.
|
| |
i believe amber heard
|
| |
Gnarly music vid. Song is dece but pretty run of the mill Behemoth. Still like it more than basically everything on ILYAYD
|
| |

because the catholic church is a real thing and twitter isn't
|
| |
The shift in register between the acceptable description and analysis of something the singer finds problematic and the conclusion "This album is my middle finger to that" is funny.
|
| |
i thought u were kevinkfc n now im hungry
>because the catholic church is a real thing and twitter isn't
damn guess elon wasted billions shouldve bought the papacy instead
|
| |
Man, between this, his social media comments and ILYAYD, Nergal is hell bent on destroying every shred of goodwill he accumulated during The Satanist era.
|
| |
my favorite metal album is sunbather and even i think that album description is cringe
|
| |
Can't wait to not listen to this
|
| |
polish bands do be coming back with these dumbass statements lately
first decapitated, now behemoth
who's next? vader?
|
| |
Can’t wwait for the mgla album about the slap
|
| |
hell yea based poland
|
| |
can someone timestamp the good part because i think i missed it
|

Guy has literally been brought up on blasphemy criminal charges and still hates the libs more. Y'all do be that fucking annoying lol
|
| |
this track is amazingly underwhelming and boring.
|
| |
I’d rather side with an annoying Greta Thunberg then a group of ethno nationalists. Just goes to show Behemoth knows who their audience is.

Booooo an ultra basic and boring song... oh who could have guessed it?
Anyway, the clip was pretty cool though, ngl. I'd certainly watch if it'd be a real horror movie.
