R.I.P. Ronnie Spector 2022-01-13 by JP Patino Izquierdo | 11 Comments | On the 12th of January, Ronnie Spector died at the age of 78 after a short battle with cancer. As the lead singer of the legendary girl band The Ronettes, Ronnie was an influential figure for popular music not only because of hit singles such as "Be My Baby" and "Baby I Love You" among others, but also as one of the first "rock girls" in music, paving the way for more women to take part into the genre.
Her last wish was for people to donate to their local women's shelter.
