New Slaughter to Prevail Song

2021-07-15 by Dan Norris | 31 Comments
Russian Deathcore Outfit/Bear Wrestlers Slaughter to Prevail surprised the world with the 4th single off their upcoming album 'Kostolom' entitled Zavali Ebalo. Instead of their normal masks and track suit laden videos, the band instead set the song to the 1997 Anime series 'Berserk'. Check the video out below:

The news articles on this site are getting more obscure from day to day. I´m expecting to read about the new album from my non-existent band, in a near future.

Band is so boring, no idea why people rank them so highly within deathcore.

There is no Berserk film from 1997? Also I agree Durrzo, band is super boring. Dude's voice isn't even that crazy.

Trash song. Maybe if they the clips form AOT it would’ve been better.

They’d be better if they added some Russian folk metal parts to the breakdowns and screams.

Well he had it written as "1997 film" before that's why it was confusing, there wasn't a Berserk movie in 97 lol just the series

"The mask gimmick is the only reason this band has any type of success"

They were blowing up before they used the masks though. Also plenty of shitty deathcore got popular without any uniforms or masks. In fact theyre the only deathcore band i can think of that does the mask gimmick.

Their masks do look really goddamn stupid though, they look like a metal band a 12 year old would think looks cool. At least they couldve gone all out with it, wearing regular clothes with those masks just looks silly as fuck.

Alex Terrible has very good charisma and stage presence, so that's probably another big reason they're gaining traction.

"wearing regular clothes with those masks just looks silly as fuck."

Agreed

Band is definitely not as bad as everyone here seems to say, will agree that this is a pretty boring song however.

No one here mentioned that they made the music video as a tribute to the late and great mangaka Kentaro Miura who has died 2 months ago. Berserk needs an extreme form of musical soundtrack.

Miura deserves more than having a shitty deathcore band making a AMV in his honor.

Always more people who flat out don't like deathcore commenting on deathcore songs here than people who do like the style lmao. Never change, clowns.

Yup. Some of my favorite music has come out of recent Deathcore, but this band is ass.

"Berserk needs an extreme form of musical soundtrack."

My guy. Go listen to Brand Of Sacrifice. Also deathcore but they're actually good and all of their lyrics are based on Berserk.
