New Ichiko Aoba single

2020-01-11 by Hugh G. Puddles STAFF | 17 Comments
Ichiko Aoba, benevolent fairy queen of all things hushed and beautiful, has released her new single Amuletum Bouquet, a double A-side including two songs: "Amuletum" (trans. "守り哥" [Mamori Uta]) and "Bouquet" as announced Dec. 27th.

"Amuletum" is co-written with composer Taro Umebayashi and is notable for the cello, harp and clarinet accompaniment it introduces alongside Aoba's traditionally minimal folk sound. "Bouquet", on the other hand, is entirely her creation.

And yeah I’m definitely feeling the Ghibli on these.

Beautiful music that reminds of beautiful movies.

Ichika Aoba, who went through a name change from Ichika Nakano after the quintuplets series finished.

I can't wait for her new album and read a book worth of Johnnyofthewell's review of it.

I don't tend to like her collabs very much. I like solo Aoba. Beautiful as usual!
