Less than a week after its existence was leaked, Massachusetts Deathcore band The Acacia Strain have dropped their new album It Comes in Waves.

The album shows greater Doom Metal influence than prior releases. The band is rumored to be releasing a second album sometime in 2020 as well.

Idk about this 'doom metal influence.' This just sounds like TAS doing metalcore instead of deathcore, for better or worse.

This owns. It is more of a post metal influence rather than doom I think but it benefits their sound very well.

For better or for worse this still sounds like Acacia Strain, but I do appreciate hearing a release from them that's not safe, monotonous, dull deathcore. "Not bad" from me is basically praise at this point for these guys. I might actually listen to this again later. Not bad!

yeah tbh didn't hear any doom influence but to each their own.

it's still Kylecore neanderthal metal but this was far more acceptable than other stuff I've heard
