Mate, that intro got me pumped, it's Sehnsucht all the way to the bank. I just think it drags on a little bit and not a lot changes. It's a far cry to what Deutschland lays out, that's for sure. I still have high hopes though.

I have a feeling Flake's synth contribs are going to steal the show this time around.

Ye those sweet Sehnsucht vibes.

I agree, Flake has laid down some sweet keys already.

So I guess I'm not the only one that thought of Sehnsucht when I heard this. The ending of the song reminded of Du Hast that little cell phone sound they used.

Definitely not the only one, Deutschland had some sweet Sehnsucht vibes going on too.

Bloccio is a good song, but I def prefer Sputland.

Think I prefer Radio, Deutschland rules but the video kinda makes the song.

This is way more immediate and probably the first time I’ve full on danced to a Rammstein song.

The simple synth bop in the verse got my arse shakin.

I should read into their lyrics more, my German is very barebones.

Is Till a good lyricist?

"Is Till a good lyricist?"
Well, yes and no.
He has some amazing metaphors and you can find many layers in his lyrics in many songs. He kind of manages to be blunt, in your face and subtle at the same time sometimes.
But then there is stuff like Pussy that's just sorely there to provoke people. I also have a hard time enjoying the edgier lyrics with more sexual content.

Rammstein really are masters of calculated provocation and I enjoy and dislike this at the same time. They're a weird case and artists in this sense and I di respect that a lot despite the things that turn me off

"ye for sure"
Can't really argue with that haha

The lyrics for the new songs are good imo

What's going on conceptually here? Why does this band always give me wartime vibes? It isn't just them being German, it's like they go out of their way to have imagery from that era.

How the hell does this sound Slipknot, anarchistfish?

One major difference is Slipknot layer like 5 guitars in their mixes and Rammstein is much more primal. Which is strange, because I feel like Slipknot tries to go for the whole primal thing, but they fail compared to this band.

"Is Till a good lyricist?"
I always thought Rammstein are a little boring but these 2 music videos are amazing and as a German I love how they tackle historical stuff. So in this case I gotta say: the lyrics are good. Other songs...well, meh.
And yeah, Rammstein were initially founded in former East Germany. At least the guitarist grew up there, as far as I know. If the whole album is about such topics, maybe I will buy my first Rammstein album.
