This news is awesome. You should really mention something about this being about Co&Ca

I can't wait to hear this, especially with Chris Pennie on drums. I'm going to see them tonight at Warped Tour, I'm hoping they play some new stuff.

Sorry to tell you Tenacious, unless you knew, but Chris won't be on the album. Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters laid down on the drum tracks for No World For Tomorrow. But Chris IS the new drummer. I met him last week, he seemed really nice. Can't wait!

yeah i heard that, like what's the point? pennie is a much better drummer than hawkins. unless they wrote the album with taylor before they officially announced he was to be on the album, and before chris left dillinger. still, it's a shame, because i think it would have been much better with pennie pounding away.

Pennie wrote the drum parts and Taylor played them.

This might be ok, unless it's anything like 70% of their last one. Maybe DEP will show up crying and pointing fingers at Pennie for "selling out" (although I'm pretty certain that DEP's Ire Works will own anything Coheed puts out regardless).

Yeah, I heard that too but I thought it was just a rumour. Either way, their both good drummers. I just hope this sounds more like SSTB than their last 2 albums.

I gotta say.Dillinger is crap, i've listened to every song on all of their cds and its like one big long pretentious scream. The musicians are good i'll admit. But only separately... Pizza, Ice Cream, Sushi and milk are all good but if you mix them together... I saw a Dillinger Show last year... I left and walked around the corridor cause it was so bad. I welcome Chris with open arms though. WAY better than Eppard was.

Anyways. Strizz if that is true, that would be awesome, cause Chris is amazing. I was hoping that but I read that Hawkins did all of the recording so i assumed it was him. Awesome though.

Welcome Home doesn't need double bass other than on one bar during the solo.
And I thought it was cos Pennie can't work on that label atm.
And I can't really see Hawkins using double bass on here, and with four albums w/o double bass, Pennie might switch to single, which isn't good tbh.

DEP is awesome, by Co&Ca have a knack from putting out interesting albums.

Im going to see DEP soon, though only cos they're touring with Meshuggah.
Coheed owns DEP.

Coheed and DEP are separate but equal. Neither owns the other. Coheed has written the best album of the two bands (Second Stage Turbine Blade) and are overall much more palatable though still technical enough to be interesting. DEP are much less palatable but artistically are doing much more than Coheed and can be spun nearly endlessly, whereas Coheed can be understood after 4 or 5 listens (though their music is good enough to merit more spins).

the only reason coheed never used double before is cause josh was well known for attempting double bass parts on a single...i just saw them a couple weeks ago and he was definitely usin a double kick and he definitely kicked josh's ass from the show i saw with josh there.
