The newest Protomartyr track is titled 'My Children' and will be featured on their forthcoming album Relatives in Descent. It's a second single from that album, following 'A Private Understanding', however unlike that song, 'My Children' was not yet graced with a music video.
The sound of it is upfront, sophisticated and dizzying, but also quite dismal and temperamental, which seems to be the direction the band is taking on this new album.
Relatives in Descent comes out on 29th of September through Domino Recording Company.

The title was supposed to be a red herring, suggesting a fake collaboration between the two named band, whilst obviously referring to the theme of heir in the featured track. But the mods decided to take the humour out and replace it with a pure passionless factionalism.

I loved A Private Understanding a lot, and this is just as good

wow one of the most annoying vocal performances I've ever heard. guitars are catchy, set up for a good song, but from the get-go its ruined. never heard of this band before

I dont like his voice either but this doesnt seem like an immediate band to me, im gonna jam a whole album and give it a chance.

they keep getting better with each album, I'm hoping that trend continues, and if this tune is any indication, it WILL!!
