The atmosphere is cool, but I keep expecting things to kick in and it just keeps drifting. Not bad on first listen though. This could grow on me.

I agree, I enjoy the atmosphere on it but it's a very subdued sound for them. Halfway through has a nice haunting vibe, but yeah the track never really takes off. Curious to hear how the rest sounds though because this band has a lot of potential, and I was pretty let down by the trip-hop sounding EP Virée Nocturne they released in 2016. Glad this isn't going that same route.

I agree. The band does have potential and I think that is why that EP was so disappointing for me. Hopefully the experiments with new sounds will coalesce more effectively on this album.

gimme more L’ Échappée not this subdued stuff Fursy

A whole album of this could fail to engage, but a few tracks like this is fine, i'll wait until I hear the whole thing to make a judgement. Love this band and Furseys way of writing melodies.

can they get interesting again please

Will the new album top the debut?
We must know.
|
| |
Not likely, that one is special.

Dammit I wish this band would release something awesome again.

First 2 albums rule, but the EP from last year is fucking garbage. Hopefully this is good or at least decent.

I sort of like it, but there's something missing. I feel like the music should be pulling me in, but instead it keeps a lingering barrier up.

Band is done IMO..

^I worry that you may be right.
