Such a good song, love it.

cash in

Hate the greed behind these types of moves, love additional music from Bowie

If I remember correctly it was Bowie himself who planned that.
|
| |
I think posthumous would be a word than post mortem lol
|
| |
@CzechyGuy So he did have a plan.
|
| |
Great EP. No Plan is becoming one of my favorite Bowie tracks.
|
| |
Sounds neat, def gonna listen to this soon. I don't see why they had to tack Lazarus onto it though, kind of annoying if you're gonna purchase this.
|
| |
if I said I love it, I'd be lying.....hope it's a grower
|
| |
No Plan is an awesome song
|
| |
Never thought I'd say it, but agreed with Sowing 100%
|
| |
gimme gimme gimme
|
| |
Perhaps they put Lazarus on the EP as the songs are from the Lazarus musical?
|
| |
Yeah these are all bonus tracks from the Lazarus musical. Glad that there is now a more convenient way to listen to these songs even if the musical itself is great
|
| |
New EP aka family and record labels milking his legacy for all it's worth
|
| |
Isn't it widely accepted that anything that's unreleased is stuff Bowie straight up didn't want released? So why release it?
|
| |
this was planned already
Bowie had plans set in place for these releases before he died. This was authorized.
|
| |
Ah OK but I know his producer's said there's a treasure trove of stuff Bowie never wanted released, but might come out now.
|
| |
Yeah, the plan set in place was to steadily release stuff over a five year period, which included this EP (and the five demo tracks that were meant to lay the groundwork of another album)
|
| |
sweet as
|
| |
tbqh No Plan really overshadows the other two new songs
they're not bad, but they aren't exactly fantastic either
|
| |
When I Met You sounds like Country Teasers and Killing A Little Time like Zu
|
| |
Everyone saying this is a cash in or that he didn't want this music released need to wise up and do what is literally a minimal amount of research before mouthing off- he actually DID plan a series of posthumous releases that he authorised himself. He himself never- to my knowledge- spoke publicly about a body of music he absolutely did NOT want to be touched after he died- you're confusing the situation with Prince.

| |
Glad to tracks are finally being released on as a Bowie release. Easily just as good (some better) than the tracks on Blackstar. Would love a deluxe Blackstar CD with all 11 tracks. 6/5

RIP Bowie, a big guy with a plan
