Greg Lake
1947 - 2016

"Confusion"

Perhaps too soon to be making quips like that, but Greg Lake's performance in both ELP and King Crimson mark him as one of prog's most legendary vocalists. I owe him my love for 70's prog outside of Pink Floyd. May he rest in peace.

It's time to spin In The Court Of The Crimson King again, I suppose.

2016 legitimately blows. Totally unredeemable year.

We're losing so many musical legends this year, and have already lost many, many more. Such a blow that 2/3 of the classic ELP died in such a short space of time apart. RIP guys, you be blowing utopian audiences' minds with countless different renditions of Tarkus I hope.

I always thought that when you look at the lead singers of all of the huge bands from the '70s, for sheer vocal beauty, Lake was at the top of the pack. Weird to see him go in the same year as Keith Emerson. Defininitely RIP.
