ewwwwwwwww
|
| |
ok this is terrible and is not reassuring after the first two were at least tolerable
|
| |
Worst of the 3
But I've done digging to find out what i can about the album, and apparently this is the poppiest the album gets, and the rest of the record wont sound like this, so i still have some hope, considering i really liked the other two. I wouldn't be too worried if this is the lightest song on the album
|
| |
Song title sounds like it should be from some melodic metalcore or post-hardcore band.
|
| |
Bet this goes hard
|
| |
Say what you will, song will get them back on the radio.
|
| |
'Song title sounds like it should be from some melodic metalcore or post-hardcore band.'
....alive or....?
|
| |
Yeah this isn't great. Really liked the first two though.
|
| |
Sounds very pop-punk, which is weird, considering they said they would destroy that term with this album. Song is okay, other two are much better
|
| |
"they said they would destroy that term with this album"
meaning what?
|
| |
sounds like an All Time Low cover band
shame how far these guys have fallen, was never a big fan but at least their earlier stuff had passion and was interesting
|
| |
"Sounds like an All Time Low cover band" [2]
Id be more okay with this if it was an all time low song tbh
|
| |
ok song. this >>>>>>>> Uno/Dos/Tres
|
| |
Everything about this is not good
|
| |
literally just a pop song
|
| |
the issue isn't that it's a pop song, it's just bland and cheesy.
|
| |
I'd be more okay with this if it was an all time low song tbh [2]
|
| |
"The issue isn't that it's a pop song, it's just bland and cheesy"
If someone named after a good charlotte song thinks something's bland, it must be pretty bland
Lyrics are serviceable. At least it sounds like it kinda came from a genuine place and it sounds like they were trying
|
| |
This is passable, but the other 2 are far better.
|
| |
I like it because it doesn't sound like Green day.
|
| |
This is definitely gonna put them back on the map whether this site likes it or not lmao
|
| |
Wish this band would DIE
|
| |
So am I alone on fucking loving this song?
|
| |
nah, its growing on me tbh, cheesy but in good a way that appeals to my questionable music taste
|
| |
i mean, compared to 21 Guns, this is a masterpiece
|
| |
There's no concept or gimmick with all this, so it's already objectively better than the last 4(!) albums they put out
But yeah this is the least impressive one to me
|
| |
""they said they would destroy that term with this album""
"meaning what?"
who knows, it's just what they said, that they would destroy the term "Pop-Punk"
|
| |
Onioncore
|
| |
they made pop punk even lamer, thus they have effectively murdered the genre's final shreds of credibility.
|
| |
lol pretty much
|
| |
This would be alright if it was All Time Low or something.
|
| |
I guess the hype is real. Green Day is back! Someone get Electric City on to writing the review.
|
| |
Oh wow this is really bad. I was startled at how much I liked the first single, so I peeped this... this is awful. Belongs on a Disney channel show, blecchh
|
| |
I actually really like this.
|
| |
Yeah this is gonna be a good album I think and I'm glad everyone agrees.
|
| |
Is this a Taylor Swift song?
|
| |
¯_(ツ)_/¯ I don't think it matters
|
| |
Probably won't be as bad as the Trilogy.
...
Pulling worms from my prolapsed anus would probably be better than the Trilogy.
|
| |
Here's me thinking the new album could be alright when I heard the first single; the two proceeding it have been terrible.
|
| |
I still liked revolution radio and was fine with this. I don't have any problems with it its just kinda bland
|
| |
I couldn't even finish it. Lame song
|
| |
I was going to be all sardonic but honestly what can we expect from these guys today. They past their expiry date about 16 years ago.
|
| |
*robotic voice* ooh i'm still alive
|
| |
First two were alright. This is absolutely dreadful
|
| |
I mean this has cheesy lyrics, emotionless and overproduced vox and fairly standard melodies and song structure. All of that points to me hating this, yet that cheese loving part of my brain annoyingly enjoys this
|
| |
Fucking hell they sound like Biffy Clyro
|
| |
wow this is truly awful
|
| |
Thank god there's nothing that really sounds like this on the album
That's not to say this is the worst song nah its 2nd to youngblood that song is BAD
|
| |
Is it nightlife bad
|
| |
it's fuckin dreadful
|
| |
nothing is nightlife bad
youngblood sucks, but its not kill the dj, makeout party, troublemaker bad. its pretty abysmal nonetheless. the guitars in the middle are alright, and the key change at the end is cool ish. the lyrics are its biggest problem (the chorus is literally "young / blood / young / blood / young / blood / she's my little young blood")
|
| |
She's a loner, not a stoner
Bleeding heart and the soul of Miss Teresa
Supernova, Cherry Cola
She's the cedar in the trees of Minnesota
I'm a rough boy 'round the edges
Getting drunk, and fallen in the hedges
She's my weakness, fucking genius
Swear to god and I'm not even superstitious
...
Are you stranded, like I'm stranded?
Do you want to watch the world fall to pieces?
Are you broken, like I'm broken?
Are you restless? She said: "Fuck you, I'm from Oakland!"
these are real lyrics clay bud.
|
| |
it's not nightlife bad tho. billie isn't modulated to the point where he sounds like a robot falling asleep with a mid tempo overproduced backing track while a shitty female rapper no one knows about appears on half the track
|
| |
Haha yeah why do I get a bad feeling this album is just gonna make want to listen to Insomniac
|
| |
well i liked it, if it means anything to you. it's not the return to form i hoped for when i first heard bang bang, but it has some decent stuff to offer. granted, i have a VERY soft spot for them (evident by the fact that i like 21st century breakdown), but i thought this album was genuinely alright. i dont know man listen to it and decide for yourself.
take this for what its worth. for the first time since american idiot, they actually tried
|
| |
I don't mind Youngblood. My gripe with the album is that the first half is boring as fuck. Instrumentally the album is fine but BJ's vocals are way too polished.
|
| |
I think the first half starts out strong and gets gradually weaker, and the 2nd half starts out weak and gets gradually stronger up to forever now, which is the highlight of the album for me
|
| |
Green Day was my first real girlfriend's favorite band. Haven't talked to her in over four years. Fuck.
|
| |
Somewhere Now is boring, Say Goodbye is boring, Outlaws is boring.
|
| |
What were your highlights from the album? Somewhere now is a better track imo, and say goodbye and outlaws were songs i enjoyed more than the middle section, like BOTW, still breathing, and youngblood
|
| |
Bouncing Off the Walls, Too Dumb to Die, Troubled Times and Forever Now
|
| |
Huh. Wasn't too into BOTW or too dumb to die. Thought bouncing off the wall was fun with horrendous lyrics, and something about too dumb to die just didnt work with me, though the chorus is solid. Troubled times and forever now are among the best tho, especially forever now. That's easily my favorite post AI green day song
