Dope share Blood Money title track

2016-08-15 by NewBallistics | 21 Comments
After numerous release date changes, Illinois-based nu-metal act Dope has released a new theatrical music video for the title track of their "long-in-the-works" album Blood Money.

The album was originally planned to debut in March 2014, but was then pushed to spring of 2015. This date was pushed back yet again after an interview with frontman Edsel Dope stated that the release will take place in the summer. The first single "Selfish" with an accompanying music video was released on August 26th, however, information on the upcoming album's release remained absent.

The album is now officially set to release on October 28th, 3 days before Halloween. Mr. Dope has also confirmed this is a two-part album, with the second part's release still to-be-announced.

I was fully prepared to dig this when I heard the video finally dropped, but there's really nothing good here. Probably a hard 2 or 2.5 max

Imagine being one of the 40ish year olds in this band, and you're showing everyone a few songs you spent years making and they're like "I can get you a job at my company if you want, you don't have to keep doing this."

MetalSucks called it "emo melodeath". That isn't a thing. The closest thing to that being a thing is mid 00s metalcore.
