I felt the need to laugh at this, but then I realized this could turn out pretty cool, I enjoy opera stuff.

O man, I'm betting good money this will suck. Just because one is in a famous rock band doesn't one should or could ever write an opera. Leave it to the pros.

This guy can't write good music for a genre he and his band invented. Why would he want to venture into a genre that he knows nothing about. I hate Korn for just not giving up.

So, he's gonna write an opera made from locrian and minor scales/chords and call it a different thing from KoRn... Sounds like metal made with Violins and horns. This is going to be a funny thing to hear and the interviews will be hysterical.
But he will probably not even do anything with the actual making and creation of the music, just guiding what he invisions for the music and it will sound just like he makes all KoRn stuff sound, he should just release the last killing album of KoRn and retire.

I'm actually hoping he sticks w/ this for a while so I can expect a decent Korn album afterwards (of course, w/ the extra year or two of writing some of the old great bands are needing). I don't think you should be concerned w/ what it sounds like; If it isn't good, opera fans won't like it and nu-metal fans won't either. So there goes the publicity. Let's hope it stays at that.
