It's ok.
|
| |
It's aight
|
| |
Really grew on me
|
| |
Don't understand why this site doesn't like their new album but yeah this was ok.
|
| |
Songs really good. Although if they degenerate into repeating stressed out like 30 times it'll be a shame
|
| |
Good pop song.
Ok Twenty One Pilots song.
|
| |
better than 98% of their new album.
|
| |
the tracklisting for the suicide squad soundtrack is telling me to avoid Suicide Squad all together.
|
| |
My theory is since it's a single for the movie, Warner Bros or whoever the fuck heard Stressed Out and was like "make a song like that." I doubt this is indicative of the direction they'll take on their new album. Still a good track though.
|
| |
"Don't understand why this site doesn't like their new album but yeah this was ok."
Probably because its crap and legions of teenagers look way too deep into it
|
| |
I love blurry face but it's not deep lmao
|
| |
this band is literally donald trump
|
| |
get this fucking band off the front page
|
| |
"legions of teenagers look way too deep into it"
Terrible reason to lot like a band. If you don't like them then you don't like them but that's a bad reason to dislike something
This band was better received when they weren't as popular.
|
| |
shit band
|
| |
"This band was better received when they weren't as popular."
They also made better music then too.
|
| |
Yeah blurry face isn't deep at all. But damn it's great pop
|
| |
"They also made better music then too."
I won't argue that. Blurryface was also too long I feel.
|
| |
Yeah, easily could have chopped some songs.
|
| |
They do put on one hell of a live show though. Josh is a great drummer
|
| |
I've seen them 18 times so I think it's safe to say I can agree to that too lol
|
| |
Damn haha I don't even think I've been to 18 total shows. I've seen them once but still great.
|
| |
I think it's a really good track and it fits in very well in the context of the film. Personally, I think it's better than, like, half of Blurryface which a year later doesn't hold up that well.
|
| |
"Terrible reason to lot like a band. If you don't like them then you don't like them but that's a bad reason to dislike something"
Besides their annoying fans I genuinely think they are a mediocre at best band that take themselves too seriously
|
| |
Also I don't understand why adults are so against teenagers listening to bands like Twenty One Pilots or The 1975 or whatever when it's leagues better than what kids would listen to otherwise. Hell, I think it's nice that despite the fact that both of those bands receive limited airplay save for a few singles, they still achieve huge popularity thanks to social media and word of mouth.
|
| |
This band makes me wanna dip my head in a vat of battery acid.
|
| |
I don't care who does or doesn't like this band, Blurryface was a complete mess from start to finish
|
| |
"Also I don't understand why adults are so against teenagers listening to bands like Twenty One Pilots or The 1975 or whatever when it's leagues better than what kids would listen to otherwise. Hell, I think it's nice that despite the fact that both of those bands receive limited airplay save for a few singles, they still achieve huge popularity thanks to social media and word of mouth."
Well I mean, a lot of us here are still teenagers so the first thing you said is a mute point as age doesn't really change the fact bad music is bad. And you assume we are against teens listening to them when I'm reality it's us against wanting to listen to them. Also there's plenty of pop outfits and artists who are miles above those two bands and you think that they're somehow different from any other modern indie pop group?
Also all it takes is one single for a band to get a large fanbase. Teir popularity isnt a mystery. I still stand by the fact that I ghink 21P's self titled was a great album and Vessel was good. But Blurryface is full and through a terrible album.
|
| |
I'm
|
| |
terrible band
|
| |
"this band is literally donald trump"
Don't insult Trump like that
|
| |
Fair enough
|
| |
Whenever I ask what problem people have with Blurryface its always the same it seems.
Polished and simple doesn't mean bad, although on Sputnik any band that gets better production and a more accessible sound is shit from then on out.
|
| |
actually the real issue is that tyler dumbs down songwriting and lyrcism to basic ass pop structure and then tries to parade the idea that theyre not "like the other pop groups" and its so disgustingly pretentious for an album that is average otherwise.
|
| |
21P shoulda named it
P a n d e r f a u s t
|
| |
Lyrics be like:
"Dis song will never be on the radio"
Gets played nonstop on the radio.
|
| |
"People, they rhyme like this, we're all impressed by this,
They rip it, flip it, but these are just triplets,
Wrote this in three minutes..."
Tyler spits as he Josh starts pumping out a couple triplets on his drum kit and Tyler actually includes the line he wrote in three minutes in the final product.
|
| |
Alright so tracks 11 12 and 13 could easily have been cut from the album but honestly the first 8 or so are some of my most played tracks from last year.
I feel like people on this site have no line between "average" and "awful".
|
| |
"We're unironically ironic
But we're honest about it
So that makes us special...!"
|
| |
i like Ride quite a bit and Not Today is cool, but the rest of the album is just a lot of "nope"
|
| |
"Don't understand why this site doesn't like their new album but yeah this was ok."
I'm gonna have to agree on that. Then again, just cause I loved Blurryface doesn't mean everyone else did. Just looks like it's more than usual is all
|
| |
do you people just casually ignore any and all comments that detail why the new album sucks or...
|
| |
The song structures were just fine for me. Catchy and simple, nothing more. Lyrics are whatever, not bad enough for me to notice.
I said that simple and accessible doesn't mean bad and I stand by that.
|
| |
Your first mistake was assuming people hate simple and accessible music.
|
| |
"I feel like people on this site have no line between "average" and "awful"."
This can be kinda true tbh.
|
| |
"I feel like people on this site have no line between "average" and "awful"."
there is. [literally most music is average] people who think there's no line have no standards.
|
| |
stay posi~
|
| |
Blurryface is a great album. I agree that it could've benefited from dropping a few tracks but other than that it's some good ass pop music. Y'all are crazy.
|
| |
it sucks
|
| |
Well when you put it that way I guess you're right
|
| |
I saw all the positivity in the first few comments and knew Sputnik would fix that eventually.
(Song's good, band's great)
|
| |
my names blurryface and i care what you think
|
| |
Yes because how dare anybody have a differing opinion
|
| |
its just snake
|
| |
Eh, true
|
| |
not my fault that he listens to this fucking band
|
| |
Lol I'm not trying to defend this band, Blurryface is pretty bad and their fanbase is fucking annoying as shit. I'm just saying it COULD be a lot worse. Like, the majority of their teen fanbase (or at least the ones I've known) don't listen to anything before Blurryface. And, oh my god, "Stressed Out" is easily the worse song off of Blurryface and I can't think of a worst song to be their breakthrough hit.
But people (especially Sputnikers) DO hate simple and accessible music and to imply that they don't is stupid.
|
| |
(Song's good, band's great) [2]
|
| |
"But people (especially Sputnikers) DO hate simple and accessible music and to imply that they don't is stupid."
Bingo.
|
| |
simple and accessible music is amazing and probs the best kind of music there is.
but this band still sucks.
|
| |
Haven't been thrilled with much of their new stuff
|
| |
'simple and accessible music is amazing and probs the best kind of music there is.
but this band still sucks."
people will engage in some of the most idiotic mental gymnastics to try to justify their like for bands others hate. Honestly I couldn't care less if someone likes this bands as I love their debut and like Vessels quite a bit, but instead they have to knock on the majority userbase because they're that insecure about it.
"the problem isn't me, its THEM." its dumb.
|
| |
i don't give a flying fucking shit about their music but rather their fans and whoever supports them
i have a really bad past with 21p fans and i'd just rather never seem them on the front page again
|
| |
yeah the "skeleton clique" can go die in a fire or whatever.
|
| |
