Vocals are still a deal breaker for me.

what the heck
| |
i like the vocals :[
| |
Wow, I enjoyed that more than I thought I would. Should probably check out their other stuff.
| |
I guess I'm really picky with my blackgaze...
| |
Song is ok, but almost a year old as of now. Seems like Nuclear Blast has big plans for them.
| |
Vox are pretty good on this but the album has no staying power. A couple spins and I was done with it.
| |
This shit sounds so uplifting. I love it
| |
This rules!
| |
Shame the rest of the album wasn't on this level. Can't escape the feeling that this copies sunbather way too much. Hopefully they start to do more of their own thing
| |
this sucks
| |
Ashamed that I'm so easily taken by a flagrant Sunbather/As the Stars ripoff. But that guitar at 1:47. Oh baby. Agree that the rest of the album is ehhhh though. And this video is pretty silly.
| |
pretty enjoyable track, although the album as a whole was disappointing
| |
this was the best track on that album so makes sense I gues
| |
forgot how awesome this particular song was
| |
at least they used their only good song
| |
also nuclear blast hahaha what
| |
I like how they used this video to demystify their elusive persona they were sticking to on social media. They're also supposed to be touring in the near future, so I'd like to hear how their sound transfers to a live environment
| |
does nothing for me.
| |
The vocals are slightly offputting, with a vocalist like Ihsahn this would be fucking amazing.
| |
song is fantastic but pretty much everything else on the album is mediocre. Dunno why they put all their energy in this one song and made everything else so stylistically different, since they actually could be the next Deafheaven/WoD if they'd write all their songs with as much intensity as this one. If their next album isn't great I'm gonna be more than a little annoyed at their wasted talent.
| |
also have you guys never listened to WoD or any DSBM? These vocal are good
:-[
| |
It's funny, I listened to the album and loved it on first listen but the more I hear anything off of it the less I enjoy it at all.
| |
@FearThyEvil Agree completely. "Golden Number" seized me on first listen, sounded like the voice of God, etc., and the rest of the album seemed decent. But I relistened to the whole thing at work today, and its almost totally lost all luster. Pretty forgettable. Even the standout track.
| |
I like Silver Flower I and II better.
| |
So I guess this must mean Nuclear Blast is doing a reissue, since Moonlover is now on spotify, and with a bonus track to boot: "Ascension." It's actually a pretty fucking strong song too, imho.
| |
vocals sounds like the dean scream lol
| |
0/5
| |
That's actually a good observation, from a handful of the folks above. I also gave the album another listen and it does not leave nearly as much of an impact as I can recall on my first listen. Regardless, this is still one of my favorite tracks off the record, but I agree, the album as a whole lacks staying power.
| |
the bonus track they put on spotify is real nice tho
| |
^ I didn't even know they posted a bonus track. Thank you for making me aware, I'll go check it out (:
| |
this song seriously couldn't be more like dream house if they tried. still great though. video is cool. singer looks like head from korn
