Robert Mcallister of Iron Chic dies 2016-01-11 by dimsim3478 | 12 Comments | On January 10, Robert Mcallister -- formerly a guitarist in the New York punk band Iron Chic --passed away.
The band posted the following statement to Facebook:
"It is with the heaviest of hearts and deepest regrets that we must say goodbye to a dear friend. Although we had recently parted ways it makes the reality no easier to bear. Every wild ride must come to an end so rest in peace Robert Mcallister and give our regards to Lemmy. We'll miss you always."
No details regarding the cause of death have been released. Mcallister left Iron Chic during 2015 prior to the band's Australian tour for reasons that were similarly undisclosed. Mcallister was a father to a young daughter, who he now leaves behind. In addition to Iron Chic, he was also a part of the hardcore punk bands Capital and Secret Lives.
UPDATE: A fund has been started to help Macallister's family--his girlfriend and daughter--in the wake of his death as he was "the main financial support for the family."
