I've heard the full album and it's not nearly as bad as everyone says it is. People just like hate on BoO ever since their guitarist left. That guitarist had little say over the writing process I might add.

I have a feeling that since The Discovery, they stuck with that vibe and never really could out do it or go in another direction.

It's ok, but I expected something better than that.
Probs gon' be a fun listen if not anything more.

They totally have a sound that grates on you after a while. I have a hard time getting through The Discovery in its entirety let alone this album. I think that their sound is really exciting and infectious in short bursts though.

Still, that reason alone is not enough to justify the amount of hate this band get.

The band still chugs like no other but the album is way better than TWDA. The solos aren't just random wankery, the keys are awesome and there's much more of an emphasis on groovy riffs than on any album prior. I enjoy it a lot for what it is.

Fully agree applicable. They great musicians but even I (my name is chug after all) can't listen to a whole album. Also they are one of those bands that just can't get their productions right.
That being said, I didn't mind The Discovery.

The Discovery and The New Reign were both awesome. I like these guys other than their last album. I will definitely be jamming this album a bit.
