The drums sound like absolute shit.
It's a shame too, as Halpern has got to be one of the best drummers in the genre atm.
Also, it seems as if the vocals get worse and worse with every release.

Dang...first two songs released from this album I liked a lot. Second two, not so much.

Got bored a minute in. Band could be loads better if spencer could write a distinct melody and cut the
whininess out of his vocals

His natural harsh vox weren't bad, but that deathcore-style layering on parts of the vox was really lulzy and it's something that is virtually never justifiable because of how lame it always ends up sounding. Song itself was pretty disjointed and suffered from a lack of smooth/appropriate transitions between styles. You can't just copy/paste a power chorus onto the end of a heavy part all willy nilly like that, guys.

this actually instrumentally wasn't too bad but Spencer yet again completely ruins it.

Why does the production sound so muffled compared to other 3 tracks they've released? Plus it seems the kick drum is completely missing from the mix on my monitors.

Great song tho! Still hyped as fuck for both albums. Based on the album preview that got leaked it seems Alpha is the more catchy of the two. Omega seems more heavy.

I can't enjoy this band because this vocalist cant right good melodies for shit. It detracts from the music so bad.

This one isn't doing it for me neither. I've only liked one song out of the four released. I watched their studio recap they released and they even stated they toned everything instrumentaly just to make the vocals more front and center. Horrible idea.

' they even stated they toned everything instrumentaly just to make the vocals more front and center. Horrible idea.'

Not really, considering it's a concept album the vocals need to take center stage.

idk i think these last few songs have been better that anything they have released. They used to be unlistenable for me, now theyre actually tolerable. Spencer is definately the most improved in the band.

I have never understood all the hate for Periphery. Can someone explain to me what is so bad about Spencer's vocals? He's extremely versatile - he can singer higher than most metal vocalists, and in my opinion his screams sound great. The guitarists write awesome riffs, throw in some bluesy parts, and all you guys do is complain that it all sucks. And no, the production isn't shit, it's actually pretty freakin good. Somebody, please explain what I'm missing.

I feel like they're killing the hype by releasing too many tracks leading up to its release(s).

Still, this single was way better than the last.

Definitely the best song from this album so far. I feel like I'm one of the few people who don't mind Spencer's vocals, too. He's by no means my favourite vocalist, but there are far worse singers out there in metal (*coughandersfridencough*)
