I agree with the above. But they did stop all band activity, which they did not do for 15 years. Even if band's don't put out albums for four years, they are probably still "active." So the hiatus was warranted.

uhh because they didn't do shit together for 3 years? when bands are TOGETHER, those 2-4 years between albums are them performing live and writing music together...thrice did not do this

Y'all motherfunka don't know what you're talking about. Thrice went on hiatus because Dustin (the singer) wanted to get in tight with Mars Hill Church, so he moved up to Washington. He was the head of music or something up there, and later was one of the main honchos calling out the head pastor on his shit this year (the church is basically a cult). The church recently disbanded over some of the allegations he and some other pastors made, and he moved back to California from Washington just recently.

In this interview (http://www.rochestercitynewspaper.com/rochester/music-interview-geoff-rickly/Content?oid=2182525) Geoff talks about how they just called it a hiatus so they could leave open the possibility of playing a couple shows at some point. He said they don't wanna tarnish their legacy with other music and he feels they went out with possibly their greatest record (which I agree with

Because the megachurch that Dustin Kensrue got signed on to lead worship at just got through a big scandal...I'd imagine the hiatus was going to be longer, but then Dustin left Mars Hill.

Either way, as good of an ending to their career as "Anthology" was, I'm down for more Thrice.
