"Hebrews marks a unique change for the band as Max Bemis did not incorporate any guitars into the record's instrumentation."
its funny cuz last record he incorporated no distorted guitars and that ended up being dogshit and this time he is including no guitars.
| |
Does every news article have to have a cheeky title now?
| |
did not think he could make an album worse than Anarchy. don't know what I was thinking.
| |
This is the worst thing ever.
| |
Hey Max what's a "blogizine"?
| |
Could actually be a solid Self/Titled-esque track if he cut that nothing-but-synth-and-more-synth bullshit and went back to the pre-Anarchy distorted guitar approach
| |
Eh, I'm still certain that this will be better than anarchy at least
| |
Not looking like it so far
| |
Not very good. gosh darnit : /
| |
so so so so so bad
| |
fuck this band. i say that as a former fan
| |
I've got no idea what problem people are finding with this. Six Six Six is a great song as far as I'm concerned, and this... whilst not as good, isn't as bad as most of Anarchy.
The synth thing is weird, don't understand that. This with typical guitars could have been great.
| |
lol at "could have been great" as a defense for the song
| |
in defense of hypotheticals
| |
this guys concern with coming across as "outspoken" in his music makes me wanna vomit. The 30 seconds I heard before clicking out of the song were terrible.
| |
I don't even wanna listen to this
| |
One of my finest moaropeth moments
| |
Pretty solid advice tbh
| |
Sounds like a high school scene kid's synth side project.
| |
Won't be worse than anarchy. At least his lyrics are somewhat ballsy
Plus be honest who listens to say anything for the guitar anyway. The synths suck but max could do an audio book and sell a million copies so naturally I am only half erect for this
| |
Song was better than most of the stuff on Anarchy, but still this band fell off of a mountain.
| |
Production is off-putting and I don't understand why bands have guitarists if they don't use them, better lyrics then Anarchy so far though
| |
There is no justifiable reason to not use guitars; the greatest painters used brushes, not their fingers.
| |
The decision to not use guitars is one of the most misguided attempts at originality in recent memory. The sad fact is that this track really sounds like it could have been excellent with the bite of Max's usual guitar parts. The keyboard sounds so fucking forced and unnatural. I'm so so so disappointed in this band.
| |
I feel like Max's bipolar disorder was what gave a lot of their earlier stuff its bite. Now he's on medicine I think and it just seems like he's faking it.
| |
oh no, no guitars? why?
| |
The energy is back in their music and the tongue in cheek lyrics, that's what made Anarchy failed. Now it's back and he's incorporating something different.
| |
I liked the first half but I found myself cringing near the mid/end
| |
album is going to be a 3.1
| |
GUYS GUITAR MUSIC IS DEAD DIDN'T YOU KNOW?
| |
I'm...still gonna give this a chance. but goddamn it nothing i've heard from this has impressed me in the slightest
| |
I like it
| |
I like it, sounds like it's a big fuck you to all the people who want him to be the same as he was during ...Is a Real Boy.
| |
Dear god
| |
"sounds like it's a big fuck you to all the people who want him to be the same as he was during ...Is a Real Boy."
I got that same vibe.
| |
To all the people that want him to make good music you mean
| |
somethin like that
| |
Sad to say this isn't much better than the last song
Album will be a 2-2.5 at the very best
| |
Out of the songs released:
This song is good, so is Six Six Six
Ballad Lost My Touch is pretty good too
I don't like the title track much
| |
"Hey Max what's a "blogizine"?"
The fusion of the web-based blog and the classic magazine. A blogazine is like a blog being that it is generally the thoughts of an individual rather than an organization. However, it is also like a magazine in two ways: the content is higher quality (i.e., more refined, more focused, and more selective), and, more importantly, the design of each blog post/magazine article is custom tailored to the content. A traditional blog will use a templated web design for each post. A blogazine post will have a unique html and css underlying that make each post profoundly different and each post more like an article in a magazine.

This just kind of ruined my day.
| |
Sorry I shouldn't have given the definition, I apologize
| |
album rules and song has grown on me a lot
