Leftover Crack In Promoter Row 2007-03-19 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 6 Comments | New York ska-punks Leftover Crack have accused a Florida concert promoter of running off with their performance fee while the band was on stage. The promoter in question, Cancer Mike, has responded to the accusations, stating that he paid the band $2500 of their $2800 guarantee and sacrificed his own profit to pay the band that much, and had his window broken as a thank you.

These are the same people that, through their fucked up tactics, pave the way for companies like Clear Channel and Live Nation to come in a take over your favorite clubs.
Such is the case with our good buddy Cancer Mike in Miami. Seems like Ol' Mikey likes to run off with the bands money while they're onstage playing a show. That's was the deal Last Thursday when LOC, Citizen Fish, and Witch Hunt played the Polish American Hall in Miami..
If you're a traveling band thinking of playing in Miami Florida do yourself a favor and steer clear of Cancer Mike and anybody associated with him.
Feel free to give him a call or drop him a line, and tell him and tell him to lay off the coke. It's not working for him.

Due to the show being moved for parking reasons a hall had to be rented .As well as security, sound, and a miami dade police officer . The bill at the end of the night was 450bux more than projected. loc was supposed to get 2800 but the bill for the night was 1350.00. I paid stampy(friend of loc and mine)$2,500 bux and went home with 15 dollars......then they threw a rock threw my window.

Oh drama. And Leftover Crack telling someone to lay off the coke is just down right hilarious.
| | | Haha true. That would have been an awesome show to see though. LOC and Citizen Fish.
| | | They still have the best band name ever.
| | | Cancer Mike will most likely never do booking again in South Florida.
He has done this several times to bands and shorting them, all bands that are booked with them have been alerted by us and fellow Floridians. He has sold us out and will continue till we do something about it.
Plus he is a total dousche
| | | Cancer Mike is a pretty shitty promoter tbh, but at least he's nicer than Ray (who owns Ray's Downtown in WPB, an hour or two north of there).
| | | In general South Florida faces bad problems when it comes to loacl promoters and etc. Ray is alright, he may have quirks but thats cause each month he is coming close to losing Rays Downtown.
