Agh this bible humping bullshit.
| |
best ever
| |
ugh so good....
| |
Sounds really good. I'm looking forward to this now.
| |
I really want to like this, and I'll admit the arrangement is beautiful, but my extreme lack of faith is going to hinder any enjoyment I would otherwise get out of this.
Dustin's lyrics are better when open to interpretation.
| |
Is this actually ughworthily good?
| |
I can put aside my atheism for a moment to enjoy some beautiful music when I need to
| |
too much religion talk not enough beautiful music talk.
| |
For true, Xing?
| |
"too much religion talk not enough beautiful music talk."
agreed let's talk about what an orgasmic voice he has
so
yeah
he has a pretty orgasmic voice
| |
I cum to that voice every morning and every night
| |
For a second there I was unsettled but then I remembered we're talking about Dustin so I'm down with it
| |
That key change.
| |
I'm a Wovenhand/16 Horsepower fan, so I can stomach the religious lyrics despite my own beliefs. Great track.
| |
There are dumber lyrics out there regardless of religious content, so I can definitely overlook the lyrics. His voice and voice control are amazing.
| |
So good. Makes me miss Thrice though...
| |
^ Opposite for me. Starting to make me think the rest of the band is unnecessary for great Dustin material, especially considering how scaled back the instrumentals are in the last 2 albums.
| |
oh man these lyrics are so offensive!
| |
Fair enough. I just prefer full band in general.
| |
funny i am actually wearing a Thrice shirt right now, but i rarely even listen to them anymore. I just get this comforting feeling whenever i think about their music and remember how much i used to love it.
| |
whoa
| |
Still sub par from Dustin. Based on what I've heard so far, this will be a 3 or 3.5 at best.
Bland music, stupid fucking lyrics
| |
not even, dude
this is legitimately one of the best songs I've heard all year
| |
I actually agree that the music is a bit bland, but the song as a whole is great.
| |
i love this, and I find most 'worship' music insufferably bland, even though I'm a Christian. Officially stoked for this album.
and yes dustin rules
| |
Just take your fedora off and pause the bill hicks video for five minutes and listen
| |
Drop the vernacular.
Huh?
Drop the vernacular!
Vernacular? This is a derby!
| |
I don't like it.
It's Not Enough made me expect a flawless album. Maybe it will be one but that's only 'cause there's
nothing in it. Everyone could write this music, it's incredibly unpersonal and it means nothing to me.
| |
this is bad. like really bad.
sounds like any crappy band my family would listen to on christian radio.
| |
Moron^
| |
you rang?
| |
Moron^
| |
hi guys
sorry, i failed the thrice drug test
the cup i gave you guys was actually the tall black man from the lobby's.
| |
and for the record, the song just doesn't sound good. it's not written especially badly; just not my thing. but the arrangement is bland, as are the overproduced vocals. just couldn't find much to like about it.
| |
i agree song's ok
| |
you nailed it
| |
Dustin needs to stick to the heavier post hardcore stuff, not that I dont appreciate his softer side mind you, but his solo work has been quite boring.
| |
its ok
| |
idk i didnt like It's Not Enough at all.
This is so much better. i dont know about the arrangement though (that key change)
still hoping for a real follow up to Please Come Home
| |
this is not as good as the first one. he really does need to stick to his folky stuff. keep the worship in church.
| |
his folky stuff was abysmal
| |
his folky stuff was great. best solo stuff from him.
| |
is skillet a christian rock band like fireflight or are they secular rock
| |
asking for a friend
| |
skillet are post-rock with gaze influences dude
| |
shit maybe im confusing the bands name
| |
maybe ur thinking of Skrillex he's christian rock
| |
i bet that's it actually. thanks man
| |
np dude
| |
can't discredit the dude is brilliant.
| |
Musically, I don't find this as interesting as Thrice, but fuck man... His voice sounds outstanding. I really enjoyed his vocal progression from the Alchemy stuff on, but I never thought he would sound this good.
| |
love it
| |
His voice is obviously the best part. Music is k.
| |
Great stuff. Anything to make the bitchy atheists cringe.
| |
Bitchy atheists? Who are you fooling, bitchy theist?
| |
I dunno if i'll be able to read the comments on the review for this album...it'll be way too cliche and annoying.
