Used to be really into these guys in my early teens so even though I doubt this'll be anything mindblowing, I'm a bit excited.
| |
Fuck this band
| |
i just want to hear a song that isn't shadow moses. the intro is so good but then the risecore breakdowns rear their ugly head
| |
Well the broken link isn't entirely my fault, sometimes mods tinker with it. also Epitaph have now made it unavailable in the UK.... That's just stupid.
| |
Also looks like BMTH took inspiration from Your Demise for the new album artwork.
| |
I wonder if the new album will keep up the momentum they built with There is a Hell... especially with Jona gone. That being said, I quite enjoyed Shadow Moses.
| |
I'm pretty pumped for this. I really enjoyed their last record. Jona is out? bummer.
| |
Well I'm assuming Jona's still on the record, seeing as they wound up recording in winter and were playing shows with him right up until the end of the recording process, and he's only just left. I'm interested to see how Jordan's keyboard input will reflect on the band, he used to be bassist in some indie band called Worship.
| |
Really excited for this.
Oh, and shame Jona is leaving.
| |
Apparently Fish also has his own studio and has done production work for local bands too so I predict they'll use that for album 5 and self-produce it.
| |
Fuck this band [2]
| |
http://www.epitaph.com/artists/album/682/Sempiternal#albdesc Just to confirm the Exclaim! report on artwork and tracklist is legit.
| |
http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/aug/30/new-band-worship and here's a little something about the new guy's old band.
| |
No hope with Jona gone.
| |
Dunno they could bring in some surprise guitarist that everyone loves. No idea who, could be from the metalcore scene, or considering their new direction, even someone from the post-rock/metal scene.
| |
Wouldn't happen, but how cool would it be if they got AJ Minette? I think a classical sound could really work well for these guys.
| |
This is a long shot but maybe a guy from Suicide Silence if they disband instead of getting a new singer/rebranding? Probably not though as both bands may have started similar but were going in very different directions; BMTH more atmospheric and SS more groove oriented.
| |
Oh ffs, IKTPQ is back? Dammit why, they're fucking awful.damn you Aussie hardcore scene, damn you
| |
Gayyy...
| |
Jona Weinhofen has left? Noooooo. Jobs fucked.
| |
the only reason why I would wait for this album's release is for a possible KILL review.
| |
I thought snide was the only one on this site who gave a shit bands like these
| |
a lot of people here seem to dig bmth
| |
band should DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
| |
best spiderman ive ever seen
| |
sorry, i just killed everything you loved about me
| |
fuck
| |
I killed the prom queeNz
| |
RCA records
| |
Never cared too much about these guys, I enjoy some things they launched, another part of their material like suicide seasson cut up is a torture.
| |
Fuck this band [2]
| |
Jona left? Aw man...at least he's focusing on IKTPQ
Hope this still ends up good, I dug his clean singing on There is a Hell (and he did a lot of backup
screaming when I saw them)
| |
Fuck this band [3]
| |
Fuck am I the only one that read this as Bomb the Music Industry?
| |
Mookid: Nope. I got kinda excited, then I opened the link and I was like, "ohh..."
| |
"Go To Hell, For Heaven's Sake"
yes horrible song titles to go with the ugly ass artwork.
| |
Really curious to hear this, but some of those track titles are corny as hell.
Also interesting to hear that the band now has an actual keyboardist. That's good news to me, as long as he isn't just playing the backing chords with some synth patch.
| |
Googled Jordan Fish. Was pleasantly surprised :D
| |
Jona should be on the album right? assuming he wrote a lot of the guitar on There is a Hell I hope to hell hes on this one.. Interested in hearing new IKTPQ too, loved them back in high school

I can only hope this is the case too. Damn shame to see him go. He definitely made the vocal side of BMTH 100X better.
| |
3 1/2 more months?? you gotta be kidding me....
| |
Hmmm this should be interesting
| |
album artwork is shit
| |
aren't they always shit?
| |
their last one was good
this looks along the same lines as the album artwork for your demise's last album, but not as bad. at least this doesn't look like it was made in ms paint
| |
Hoping the tour is Uk and Ireland
| |
The cover art is close to Illuminaudio by Chiodos than it is to that godawful Your Demise cover.
| |
lol didn't even know these guys were british
| |
hadn't thought about it. never wasted time with this band.
| |
they're not terrible?
| |
i just looked through your ratings and saw you gave that album a 4.
i'll give it a shot tonight
| |
Can someone explain why BMTH get so much hate on here? (In b4, "coz they're shit".)
Objectively they are not the worst thing to happen to music in the history of man, yet get 1'd to shit.
Looking forward to album
| |
Cuz they play boring and derivative chug music what the fuck other reason do you need
You'll grow out of them don't worry
| |
cause its Sputnik
| |
"Cuz they play boring and derivative chug music what the fuck other reason do you need"
You could do far worse with higher rated albums.
| |
Example?
| |
Yes, let's judge the album before it comes out, good idea. Fucking pretentious.
| |
"Example?"
Of Mice & Men, The Flood.
| |
"Of Mice & Men, The Flood. "
Oooh .3 higher so superior
| |
Memphis May Fire then. .5 higher which a is significant difference
| |
MMF is awful. BMTH has potential to be really good if they stop being super generic
| |
Yeah the tour is a bunch of small venues across the UK, including the Koko in London. They seem to be taking the small show approach a lot recently, playing a few secret gigs in their hometown (Sheffield, Yorkshire for those who didn't know they're British).
| |
So fucking psyched for this. Shadow Moses impressed the fuck out of me. It seemed a bit chuggy and bendy but it was very groove based riff which I loved. I've loved these guys ever since Suicide Season. They've never had the same style on each album. Count Your Blessings = deathcore. Suicide Season = heavier metalcore. There Is A Hell = post-hardcore. And I have a feeling this will be along the lines of some ambient groove shit. Fuck yeah.
| |
Hopefully their screamer improved, I could barely get through There is a Hell without shaking my heaad in disappointment.
| |
Memphis May Fire are fucking generic as fuck
tis true
| |
BMTH has potential to be really good if they stop being super generic
...
Anyhoo,
I really hate this band.
And it's fans are irritating.
| |
its detractors are just as bad
| |
nah, man.
Scales are tipped in our favor.
This is actually being praised as one of the better albums of this genre.
...this.
Enough said.
| |
I recommend you visit Metal Hammer's Facebook page. Detractors are worse.
| |
getting hyped about this album. can't wait anymore
| |
....you know it's streaming right now, yeah?
| |
Seeing this pop up in the discussions makes me think they're releasing another album
| |
