oh yeah, bring the hate bitches.....
great band, great album, great song
| |
i was about to post this damn you.
Edit: the vid is fucking amazing.
| |
Song sucks. Video was alright though
| |
Pretty artsy
I like it
| |
video was cool song is still shit
| |
Thunder is wood
| |
SOng was cool.. Video is alright
| |
The video is kinda cheesy in places but its amazingly well put together. Definitely has some great imagery to go a long with the song.
| |
Why couldn't it just have the band playing in space or some shit
| |
Why listen to this when you could just listen to Cynic, Control Denied, Athiest, Death? This band will never be there, they'll be forgotten about in 10 years just like every other core band.
| |
Decent song and vid too bad they're creationists.
| |
progmaster showing how spineless he is in forming an opinion lol
| |
yawn
| |
Video was alright Great song tho can't wait to read the lyrics for this album
| |
overproduced and same-y, no thanks.
| |
wow I liked this song more than anything they've done after Colors. except that one "happy" part
hmmmmmmm
| |
I like the song and the video is alright. There have definitely been worse recently in music.
| |
They always have the best videos
| |
song was amazing. video was amazing. band is amazing.
Fuck.
| |
shit
| |
video is meh. song is all right, hopefully a grower.
| |
That video was pretty awesome. They aren't the greatest band but I don't see why they get a ton of shit.
| |
"Why listen to this when you could just listen to Cynic, Control Denied, Athiest, Death? This band will never be there, they'll be forgotten about in 10 years just like every other core band."
They've already been around for 10 years..
| |
solid song. interesting video
| |
I dig the video, but prog metal with these visuals just doesn't match up for me. Comes off as pretty silly
| |
You called them prog how dare you they're not prog rawr rawr rawr rawr rawr!!!
| |
Great song, great vid, brilliant album.
| |
Everything about that was awesome what else is new.
| |
Damn, that was like The Fountain on even more acid...dug it.
| |
holy video batman
| |
HELL YES
| |
The day will come when spacey and astral crap dont do the trick anymore. Until that day, and probably
after that day, said crap makes for very interesting videos. Cheers to BTBAM
| |
Why couldn't it just have the band playing in space or some shit [2]
i never liked these cinematic music videos. but the visuals were cool i guess
| |
"Why listen to this when you could just listen to Cynic, Control Denied, Athiest, Death? This band

so metal
| |
Let the pointless thread arguments ensue...
| |
Aww guise cmon
| |
so, is this Prospect 1 or 2?
| |
I liked the song. But i enjoyed the video marginally more. Hopefully this is grower. I want to like this album.
| |
I thought this was fucking awesome. Epic video.
| |
Song is eh. The music is iight but Tommy is just such a dull vocalist. He really brings the band down to me. And whats up
with all these bands now ripping off Tool, Cynic, and Meshuggah image styles. The whole space/spiritual shit is so
overdone.
| |
oh well, awesome vid and song and album and band
wot
| |
Modern metal bands are sticking to those themes like crazy.
| |
song is pretty cool, and the video is pretty interesting.
| |
The clean riff in the middle rules
| |
It'll be a lot better on the album with the other five or ten minutes of it
| |
yea one 20 second part of this rules but the rest sucks
| |
so edgy, you
| |
so wait... what if you listen to btbam, cynic, death, and atheist? does that mean.... oh fuck. does that mean music is often subjective and some people will enjoy a musical style where others won't?
this blowing my mind. i feel like the giant stone head in the video. which was great, btw. prometheus
| |
I'm a big fan but I'm pretty disappointed with this song. Seems a bit too bland for me. I do like "Telos" though, so hopefully that song is more representative of this record.
| |
"This band will never be there, they'll be forgotten about in 10 years just like every other core band."
Or more likely they will be one of the most remembered bands from this current generation of metal acts. Like it or not, BTBAM seems to becoming the new Dream Theater. Given another ten years, I bet they will leave the club scene behind, and be touring in theaters across the US to sell out crowds of Dads and their kids who enjoy listening to "classic" metal.
| |
Sounds like Dream Theater...
| |
Holy shit it's been 7 years since this band was any good.
| |
Cool effects and stuff, but I didn't care at all about whatever happened in the video.
| |
I hate AltPress. That website always crashes my quicktime.
| |
songs like a 3.5. beginning was tight. video is real tight.
| |
Doesn't work anymore.
| |
meh
| |

No that is not more likely. I don't think they will ever leave the clubscene and no they will not become the new dream theather smartass. They still have only one "classic" album and that is colors and it doesn't look like they are going to top that anytime soon!
| |
@Figure337: BTBAM are creationists? Source?
| |
Good song. Silly, cheesy video.
| |
Double post
| |

They already have been invited on tour with Opeth and Dream Theater before. They are probably the most popular progressive meal band of their generation right now. They continually put out quality releases with each new record. Being as virtuosic as they are, I think they are easily aligning themselves with the same types of people who worship bands like Dream Theater or any other highly technical virtuosic music.
| |
swim to the prawn! pretty m/etal song.
| |
so much cosmos metal i cant take anymore.
| |
Fucking sucks. I want old BTBAM back not this spacey shit
| |
yup
| |
too bad they had to take one of the lesser songs from the new album but whatever
| |
Cool video. Couldn't get into the song very much.
| |
'nah, it'll probably be the new pink floyd. '
you mean that amazing band nobody listens to any more?
| |
i think that just expanded my mind. amazing
| |
video was kinda neat but the song was zzzzzzzzzzzzz
| |
That video was tits. Wonderfully produced. Watch it in 1080p.
BTBAM isn't really a music video type of band, though. Nonetheless, Future Sequence, as I've said, is fantastic.
| |
baleeted
| |
New album owns melting city is too good
| |
I dunno, I enjoyed them musical side of things, those vocals really make me want to smash things in a rage though. Hmm.
| |
Both the song and video ruled. It's directed by fucking Wes Anderson!!!!
| |
Pretty good track. Love the song name, "Astral Body".
| |
tbh I would not have picked this track for the "single," it's too strange. Bloom would have definitely caught some attention.
| |
With the exception of the intro, of course. Legendary stuff.
