Looks interesting.

don't tell me what kind of summer to have Willie
|
| |
Ha ha. I love busting out all my punk for the summer months. Most of it isn't really pop punk, though.
|
| |
yeah...no one knows/understand/wants to know or understand what you listen to. : )
|
| |
But now you do know and you can't unlearn it.
|
| |
cover art gives me a boner
|
| |
I know pretty much everything on this list. Fuck yeah this is great.
|
| |
2 south jersey bands represent woot
|
| |
That album cover is the most unrelated, avril lavigine bullshit I have ever seen.
|
| |
Cover art is arousing, is this a free download?
|
| |
wat
|
| |
"Cover art is arousing, is this a free download?"
Probably, the last one was.
|
| |
lol am i the only one who doesn't know anyone on that list?
|
| |
"lol am i the only one who doesn't know anyone on that list?"
Right there with you man.
|
| |
Hipster chick on the cover and a bunch of bands I've never heard of, this must be cool.
|
| |
no Basement or Stay Ahead Of The Weather? I R BUMMED.
|
| |
and i ain't exactly a pop punk plebe either

She doesn't look hipster at all.
|
| |
Who cares she looks horny, I'm horny, I'm sure she is down to fuck, I'll fuck her.
End of story.
|
| |
that ^
|
| |
Never met a girl who wore converses, knee high socks, flannels in the summer, owns a longboard but opts to sit on it rather than ride, or fake candid shots that wan't a hipster.
|
| |
So stoked for this.
|
| |
who are you?
|
| |
Who?
|
| |
"Never met a girl who wore converses, knee high socks, flannels in the summer, owns a longboard but opts to sit on it rather than ride, or fake candid shots that wan't a hipster."
Wow, I've never met anyone in life that's completed every one of those parameters let alone a hipster that fit that description.
|
| |
Cause they're too underground for you.
|
| |
I think this is french or something
|
| |
Recs, how do you not know Man Overboard, Misser and Real Friends?
|
| |
I hope my summer will be good.
|
| |
Maybe I'll check this out, too much pop-punk going on right now, not much of it is that good, it's just a stupid trend. I always liked pop-punk bands better when they evolved beyond it a-la Brand New or Saves The Day.

Pop Punk's not a trend. Pop Punk has trends though - like breakdown Pop Punk. The most recent pervasive trend seems to be Indie Punk.
|
| |
"Recs, how do you not know Man Overboard, Misser and Real Friends? "
Lol I hear so much underground pop punk on turntable I always forget the bands.
|
| |
I'm learning how to play "Hey Jude" on guitar is that pop-punk?
|
| |
By who?
|
| |
The Beatles
|
| |
Holy shit, Everyone Everywhere is on that list. I've adored those guys since I saw them perform last year. Realistically, one of the best Pop-Punk bands I've heard in years.
Also, the album art is surprisingly well done. Someone should tell The Human Abstract that this is how you put a girl on an album cover, and not have the cover look stupid as fuck.
|
| |
does this means i'm old if i only know 2 bands of these?
|
| |
"The most recent pervasive trend seems to be Indie Punk."
the most recent trend is bands that mix 90s emo with melodic hardcore and pop punk vox. like Title Fight, Basement, Daylight, etc.
and the pop punk everyone everywhere sucks. the emo band is so much better.
|
| |
Unlikely. I'm 18 and have only ever heard a handful of these.
|
| |
and the pop punk everyone everywhere sucks. the emo band is so much better
Gotta disagree. I really enjoy the emo EE, but I have to give it to the "Melodic Hardcore"/Pop Punk one. Absolutely terrific live shows, really tight vocal work with great hooks and melodies, and a tremendous drummer.
|
| |
Yeah I guess it's not fair to say that they suck I just don't think there is anything particularly interesting about them.
I'm glad that Pentimento, I Can See Mountains, Forrest and Signals Midwest are on here.
|
| |
This actually looks pretty sweet.
|
| |
Carridale > all.
|
| |
Thanks for the feedback ! Don't hesitate to share this around, would mean a lot !
|
| |
Pretty awesome to see Real Friends on there. Same with Challenges. Soooooo gooooood.
|
| |
I haven't heard of a single band on this list... even in passing...
DAMN!!! This S**t Must Be F**king FANTASTIC!!!!!!
|
| |
strange vacation is pretty awesome
|
| |
man overboard rules
|
| |
Lots of good stuff on here. Nothing To Prove, Real Friends, Forever Came Calling, Signals Midwest, and Dear You are especially good to see on here, all those guys will be big soon.
Does anyone know if Vol. 1 of this still around somewhere? I'd like to check that out.

Ugh, this isn't as good as the last one. Not catchy enough.
|
| |
I added a band called Speak Easy, they were pop punk too. I assumed they were the same band, lol.
|
| |
I don't really like the way this genre has been headed over the past year or so..
