Balloons have a good use after all.
|
| |
thank god someone finally did it. Panic! at the Disco and TMV got it. If anything, Trivium should have been target number 1
|
| |
I'm not a trivium fan, but I find the fact that "old school Maiden fans" behave like that to be really pathetic. I hope this story is untrue or exaggerated.
|
| |
wow. it was sort of hilarious to me, but then again that was pretty mean thing for the fans to do >_> *confuzzled*
|
| |
This is f*cking hilarious. Too bad they threw the balloons on Trivium's best song. This Message Edited On 12.23.06

ROFL.
|
| |
"And now for something completely different"
O wait, no, throwing urine balloons to sucky bands has done before..
Ah, doesn't matters anyway.
|
| |
that's really lame of fans to do, but it is trivium. still lame though!
|
| |
Hey, it's happened to Panic! At The Disco and My Chemical Romance, it was bound to happen to Trivium sometime!
|
| |
Lmao!
|
| |
"death to false metal"
I like that.
|
| |
Tasteless gesture, but if Trivium is looking sympathy they are so screwed.
|
| |
"Fans Piss Off Trivium Frontman" HEEHEEHEE Nice title.
>___>
|
| |
teehee
|
| |
Wow, this makes me hate Maiden fanboys even more. No band deserves this, no matter how much they suck. Just shows how intelligent some bands fans are.
|
| |
am i the only person here whos likes trivium
i think that is pathetic
when i saw them with maiden the crowd were assholes also
|
| |
It took this long for someone to throw piss at Trivium?
|
| |
Again, a tasteless gesture on the fans' part. But let's be realistic. Trivium supporting Iron Maiden? Shit, I'm surprised it took this long for something to happen. It's just asking for trouble. This Message Edited On 12.23.06

They wouldn't have to deal with this if they didn't write such awful songs.
|
| |
Who in their right mind would travel overseas to see such a blowhard act? That's just ridiculous.
|
| |
Well, let's look at this realistically. I don't condone the actions committed at that concert, but I can understand where the sentiment comes from.
Trivium are one of the most divisive bands in metal history. They have droves of fans who fight to defend them almost as rabidly as juggalos. But they have just as many, if not more critics who despise them. Especially since the release of The Crusade, which all together is a blatant rehash of 80's thrash with some metalcore influence and an aura of masturbatory self indulgence.
Add on to all this that the band's frontman is one of the most egotistical, thoroughly unlikeable pricks in metal history, and you've got a ticking timebomb.
Now, take a band with such a background and put them on tour with one of the biggest, most successful and enduring metal bands of all time. Anyone who doesn't think that there's going to be some trouble is just naive.
Granted, I had no idea it would turn out like this, but I knew Trivium were going to come back home to the States with less than pleasant memories of their time on tour.
|
| |
In other words, Trivium should only tour with metalcore bands. :D
|
| |
I never said pissing in a balloon was logical. I'm not sure why you think I suggested that. My whole point was that this can't come as that big of a surprise to you.
|
| |
Immature and lame. Boo and complain but don't throw piss.
|
| |
very, very stupid... i am by no means the biggest trivium fan, but that's really just ridiculous.
you'd think iron maiden fans would be more sensitive to other bands, since they were on the receiving end of crap like this not that long ago. This Message Edited On 12.23.06

Lol My Chemical Romance had this happen too. Those brits really don't like shitty music *goes to listen to the Kooks*.
|
| |
Oh please, there's no logic involved here. Anyone who'd become anything more than slightly disappointed over having to watch a band they don't like is a fucking tool whether they piss in a balloon or not.
Logical or not, extreme metal has the most elitist fanbase in the world. It's difficult to condense, but if a band hails themselves as metal but metal listeners consider them a false representation of metal, they'll be met with intense animosity.
This was just a matter of time. Had Trivium called themselves black metal instead of thrash they's probably be dead.
|
| |
Yeah that's just not on. Sure they suck massive amounts of wet ass, but that's no reason to soak them in piss.
|
| |
I am embarassed by my fellow countryfolk who traveled across the seas to see such a shitty band.
|
| |
hahahahahah
|
| |
What kind of a dick would do that? Even if they are a shitty band (I don't know I've never listened) that's no reason to be such an ass. But yeah they were asking for something to happen by touring with Iron Maiden and if something didn't happpen I would be surprised.
|
| |
i hope they get beaten up. if you hate a band dont throw piss on them. im a huge trivium fan so those dumb fans can drown in their own piss
|
| |
That is quite unfortunate. I'll leave it at that.
|
| |
I remember when Blood Promise opened for trivium the fans enjoyed Blood Promise more and they are new wave glam.
|
| |
Bad band, bad responses. And I mean that, you dont throw shit at a band you just show respect. even if they suck total arse lol.
|
| |
You're suggesting there's logic to their hatred of Trivium, and I'm saying there's nothing that borders upon it.
I said "sentiment." As in emotion. Emotion and logic don't really work together.
|
| |
A lot of old school metal fans really wouldn't like Trivium so I'm not surprised.
|
| |
This happens to the support on most of Iron Maiden's UK tours, it certainly happened to Funeral for a Friend.
|
| |
I was at that show, the story hasn't been exaggerated.
I think it was pretty lame for some of the Maiden fans to act like that.
|
| |
Haha.
|
| |
My friend was there him and his mate tried to burn a massive Trivium Crusade flag but I dont think he managed to.
From what Ive heard many people i know who have seen maiden with trivium on tour say that this sort of thig happened at their gig.
Lolzor!
|
| |
I don't like Trivium, but I hate when people do this to any band. Nobody deserves that. They were just trying to put on a show.
|
| |
Despite the fact that Trivium is a shit band, thats still extremely weak and disrespectful. They should be beaten the fuck up, Bruce should be ashamed for not stepping in.
|
| |
Let's use some reasonable judgment.
Was it funny? Yes. Therefore, it is right and OK.
I win.This Message Edited On 12.24.06

Lets send all our crappy bands to Britain =D
|
| |
Sure it was childish Alex, but it's Matt Heafy.
|
| |
I'm left with two overriding feelings here.
One, I don't think that anybody should have that done to them.
Two, I wish I could have been there to see it.
|
| |
I saw them with Bullet For My Valentine supporting, who got beer thrown at them... however someone also felt the need to throw beer at Adrian during the first couple Maiden songs. Fucking bastards lol.
|
| |
Logical or not, extreme metal has the most elitist fanbase in the world.
Iron Maiden isn't "extreme metal"
|
| |
Trivium kind of should have expected it anyway if they are going to support Maiden.
|
| |
Although I agree and say it was disrespectful, I can't help but admit that I would've done it too.
|
| |
Of course they do. You said you can understand the sentiment, which means you identify with it on some logical level.
No, I understand the source of their being piss-throwingly mad. It's like saying you understand what got a guy so mad that he punched a guy out. It wasn't a logically sound decision, but he was emotional enough that he didn't really care. Same thing, and still stupid.
I saw them with Bullet For My Valentine supporting, who got beer thrown at them... however someone also felt the need to throw beer at Adrian during the first couple Maiden songs. ****ing bastards lol.
From what I understand, British metal fans and British soccer fans are kind of interchangeable.
|
| |
He wasnt talking 'bout Maiden, he was talking about Trivium and the rabid fanbase of extreme metal going against them in such a manner.
Trivium is even less "extreme metal" than Maiden
|
| |
extreme pop.
|
| |
I'm not sure how many more different ways I can explain it.
|
| |
I think that is pretty much the point of the extreme metal community backlash to some degree.
If the "extreme metal community" is so upset about two bands that aren't extreme metal they shouldn't go to their shows
|
| |
This is just ****ed. I like Trivium alot, but the same time, understand why people don't like them( don't ask). Even if it was somebody like All American Rejects, you should'nt do that crap. That's what gives us metalheads a bad rap.
|
| |
because people who get angry over metal have no brains.
I never tried to suggest otherwise.
|
| |
I find the content of the balloons to be a bit too much, however the act is very appropriate cause Maiden do piss all over them.
|
| |
People say that metalheads are classless morons. I tell them that that's not true. Then stuff like this happens and I have nothing to say.
|
| |
They can't be that bad.
right?
|
| |
Is bashing Trivium on a website all you guys do? Even if you don't like them you have to admit that's immature as hell. Plus why did the fans stick around if they hate Trivium enough to do that?
|
| |
I love this band, but that is still ****in funny as hell!
|
| |
those sellouts deserve it. 'nuff said.
|
| |
Don't get me wrong,I love Maiden , but those maiden fanboys just piss me off. There is no such thing as false metal (ok,maybe shitty rap-metal and nu metal bands). Those assholes have only heard of Maiden and haven't tried to listens to any other bands,so they find it easy to talk about false metal and shit .I thing Trivium are very good, and compared to all those crappy new bands out there, they are one of our greatest hopes.
|

DEATH TO FALSE METAL

"Trivium are very good, and compared to all those crappy new bands out there, they are one of our greatest hopes."
Then there is no hope
