Gah this band sucks so bad
|
| |
new album is gonna be just as good as the two previous ones
|
| |
Band sucks now though they never were that good to begin with.
|
| |
melodic parts are cool, still boring though.
|
| |
yeah they were not that great but decent
Hmm, I seem to be the only one who likes this as much as their other stuff..
|
| |
It's more littered with typical scenecore breakdowns than usual, that's why.
|
| |
this is pretty good
|
| |
Too many breakdowns. Best song yet though.
|
| |
Another snoozer
|
| |
the way i look at this band is that they are a transition band for scene kids tying to get into real hardcore.
|
| |
^after seeing them live that was exactly what I thought ^^
|
| |
Not quite up to the standards they previously set, but a step forward.
As a biased fanboy, I'll withhold judgment until the album comes out.
|
| |
I did think there were too many breakdowns, but this retained more of their old solid sound. I enjoyed it. Just out of curiosity for anyone feeling willing, what are some more really solid melodic hardcore bands? that are "real hardcore" as you say?
Not trolling, seriously wanna know cause I need some new material in that field. I just checked out Defeater recently and fell in love.
|
| |
Check your shoutbox.
|
| |
Nash i also shoutboxed you some bands.
|
| |
Thanks men. (assuming you are)
|
| |
I'm diggin the pace of this song. Hopefully more of them will be like his one
|
| |
third weak song out of three...the ghost inside, why did you leave? where did you go?
|
| |
Yeah this didn't quite hit the spot either. Engine 45 was a grower though. I've been disappointed so far.
|
| |
my god, how does a band show such promise with their first album and then release nothing but average metalcore afterward? guess all their good material was used up in their first.
|
| |
I really liked Returners and I'm actually kinda digging this.
Then again I seem to like "above average but still nothing special metalcore"
|
| |
i think you guys are expecting way too much of this new album. they've always been pretty generic
metalcore, just with a more hardcore feel than most metalcore bands.
|
| |
auber, I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think they ever really meant to reinvent the genre. Sure, that doesn't really take away from the fact that their music was relatively derivative, but what always mattered to them and their fans was the passion and conviction that fans associate to their music. Sure, it might not be tangible in a direct sense, but Fury and the Fallen Ones, and subsequently Returners brought one hell of a punch with it to my ears.
|
| |
I feel like this would be an awesome band to see play a tiny venue in front of like 50 people.
|
| |
Why does the production sound so weak? Also, melodic stuff was cool.
|
| |
If you think this band is melodic hardcore please punch yourself in the fucking face.
|
| |
Assumptions make an ass out of you and me.
|
| |
I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about people in general.
|
| |
My mistake.
Agree with you though.
|
| |
There is apparently a lot of them.
Because they sound just so much like Lifetime and Modern Life Is War.
|
| |
I don't know what you're talking about; these guys sound just like The Carrier. Just listen to those breakdowns, dude.
|
| |
"If you think this band is melodic hardcore please punch yourself in the fucking face."
a-thank you
|
| |
Point is, people who have opinions on things they know nothing about piss me off.
|
| |
No dude, Fury and the Fallen Ones = One Year Later Pt. 2.
|
| |
"There is apparently a lot of them.
Because they sound just so much like Lifetime and Modern Life Is War."
And I'm gonna suck your dick again. Lifetime or Jawbreaker are usually the first two bands I think of when I think of melodic hardcore.
|
| |
i dig it.
|
| |
Of course you do.
|
| |
This song isn't too bad it has some melodies in it. I wish they'd stop using the breakdowns as a crutch though. They could be so much better. More emotionz, less br00tal.
|
| |
Not bad. Pretty typical for a Ghost Inside song.
|
| |
when will people stop liking bands like these.
|
| |
"waaah waaah I dont like it so you shouldnt either!"
Fixed that for you ^
|
| |
THIS
IS
SPUTNIK
|
| |
yawncore...
|
| |
"waaah waaah I dont like it so you shouldnt either!"
Fixed that for you ^
Fair enough man, fair enough.
|
| |
Rip too young too die no matter how much you suck
|
| |
They label themselves as melodic hardcore. Because they have melodic parts amidst hardcore components in their music. But honestly who really cares what music is labeled as anyway these days...
|
| |
The best song out of the three imo, but I hope the rest of the album will fulfill my expectations
|
| |
I love it
|
| |
zzzzzzz
|
| |
Yep there's TGI for ya. I'll be getting this though
|
| |
Not bad at all. Prefer Engine 45 though.
|
| |
MY INNOCENCE IS GONE
jun jun jun
|
| |
boring
|
| |
I will never like this band or understand why users at this site think this is any better than scene metalcore
|
| |
because it has way better vocals than scene metalcore, has some cool melodies and used to have interesting breakdowns (at least on the first album)
|
| |
not sure what you mean by scene metalcore but if it's bands like Asking Alexandria then you can't have listened to either of their previous albums. They both have a number of outstanding tracks.
|
| |
I said it wrong; i don't mean the terrible metalcore like asking alexandria etc. but the painly average metalcore. I have listened to their albums a few times
|
| |
song reminds me of ftfd
|
| |
Idk how ftfd have never played anything this fast.
|
| |
They don't have the chops yo
|
| |
boring
|
| |
FTFD usually focuses on the heavy, slamming aspect rather than the fast, crushing one.
|
| |
okay this is some good information let me make sure i get this down.
FTFD = heavy and slamming
TGI = fast and crushing
am i doing it right?
|
| |
Yes, you more or less have it down to a tee there.
FTFD are like big waves.
TGI are like... not as big but more furious waves.
|
| |
not saying this IS melodic hardcore, but to say it isn't because it doesn't sound like other bands from the genre isn't a
valid argument
Parkway Drive doesn't sound like Converge but they're both metalcore
@eternium
|
| |
The first album was pretty awesome. I love their melodic parts and I could imagine having a good time seeing them live.
|
| |
Great song. They have a lot more punk influence than For The Fallen Dreams; they have more metal influence
|
| |
