They have potential but so far they've been pretty bleh.

Let Oceans Lie was incredible. The guitar work was very well done. Hope this album doesn't disappoint

I liked Let Oceans Lie, but they do seem like tools. I guess that just means I wont be buying anything from them.

They have technical chops which are nice, but their execution ends up being so boring.

The have amazing instrumentals but the vocalists are all garbage. And they kicked out their fucking epic drummer so I don't know what that will be like on this album. I want it to be good but eh, idk.

@andcas

Thats ridiculous. Some respect (what little there was) is gone.

that's it? it doesn't really seem like a big deal to me.

I feel like the vocalist could start experimenting with some new screams though. He's one dimensional when it comes to screaming.

The vocals really ruined Let Oceans Lie for me. That being said, instrumentally, it was pretty great. Some nice drum work too.

I mean was there a contest in which whatever band had the most plays would get signed to Victory? Cause if so then yeah, that's a dick move.

They always seemed like a band who couldn't quite make the step up from mere potential.

>faking their play count on myspace to gain attention.
You mean, like every single other "MySpace famous" band? Come on, everyone was doing it. I don't even really like these guys but you can hardly blame them for thinking it was part of the business model of the era because, hint hint, it was. And still kind of is, too.

It's not like Victory Records hasn't been completely disappointing as a label to the point where it's doesn't have a faint shadow of its former glory but hey, we gained a superb comedy channel on YouTube instead. The Design the Skyline skits? Hell, I wish SNL was that funny all the time.

I'm crossing fingers that the vocalist improved his game a lot for this next album. They could make a fantastic record.

I remember Victory describing these guys as having "the musical prowess of BTBAM combined with the ferocity of TDWP" lmao

They've shown themselves to me to be just another Victory Records poppy metalcore band. They're not horrible, but I find them to be pretty average. I didn't know that they were from my state until now though, so that's pretty cool.
