NME Cool List 2006 Revealed 2006-11-22 by Horrorshow34 | 10 Comments | Beth Ditto, frontwomen with little known Arkansas Indie rockers The Gossip has beaten away competition from the likes of Javis Cocker and Yeah Yeah Yeah's Karen O to top the NME Cool List 2006.
The big boned singer came out top in a list strongly made-up of newcomers including potty mouthed Pop princess Lily Allen, big haired Horrors frontman Farris Rotter and James Reynolds, Guitarist with London Dance-Punk trio Klaxons. The full top 10 can be found below:

Other surprise entries in the list include Rolling Stones' guitarist Keith Richards who made the list at #26 and ex-Clash bassist Paul Simmnon who is now currently working with Damion Albarn in new band The Good, The Bad And The Queen cracked the top 20 entering at #11.
Last year Arctic Monkeys' frontman Alex Turner topped the poll, this year he fell to #32. Whilst 2004's joint winner, Pete Doherty and Carl Barat have both dropped down to #28 and #18. All previous winner can be found below:
