..yay?
| |
that stupid "yeah" in the chorus is so annoying
song sucks
| |
this was released, like, ages ago.
| |
I don't really like it at all.
| |
So with Swiftchfoot's next album being called Vice Verses, will they finally just change back to ordinary foot placement?
| |
I kinda like the song... forgive me
| |
The song sucks, but my friend loves them and wants to see Switchfoot + Anberlin with me, so I guess I should listen to the album.
| |
I like Switchfoot
| |
Christianity is sooooooooooo last century.
| |
Christianity is so two centuries ago
| |
Christianity is so three centuries ago
| |
the song's actually pretty decent, but that might just be the fervent 13-year-old swithcfoot worshipper within me speaking.
| |
k. combobreaker kinda edit ninja'd
| |
I DARE YOU TO MOOOOOOOOOOOVE
| |
Said the rabbi performing my circumcision.
| |
Was alright. Not groundbeaking, but reasonable all the same.
| |
Didn't know these guys were still making music. My dad used to wear a Switchfoot shirt all the time, though he had no idea what Switchfoot was. I think he got it at Goodwill.
| |
^lol.
| |
Ugh, this band.
| |
ugh, Switchfoot is still making music? wonderful...
| |
What the fuck is wrong with you guys? Switchfoot is responsible for some excellent material.
This song is not part of that though... the chorus is the problem.
| |
i hate this band so much.
one of my first bands i was in loved switchfoot and that was all they ever wanted to play, turns out they chickened out whenever we wanted to play live
| |
This song isn't too bad, but their choruses have always been the problem, very average
| |
I love Switchfoot, album will rule and haters will hate.
| |
Switchfoot is mediocre, album will be mediocre and haters will still hate
| |
Eh it's pretty blah, like just about everything they've ever done
| |
I don't care, I still like it.
| |
nickelback completely killed the phrase "dark horses" for me
converge almost revived it
but i still think "ugh nickelback" and shudder every time I see "dark horse" or some derivative of it.
Song's not bad (maybe I'm weird, but I didn't mind the chorus...), band has some good material, and Jon Foreman is amazing.
| |
Oh this is a different song than I heard, mb. Song is okay, chorus is meh but not really bad.
| |
I like pretty much everything Switchfoot makes, my dad bought Legend of Chin when I was a kid. I also like this.
| |
Meh, sounds just as boring as the last album. They do have some good material though.
| |
i can't believe i forgot the name of their uber popular song from back in the day. dunno about stateside but they used to blast that shit EVERYWHERE back in korea.
| |
I'm not particularly big on this song, but I think this album has potential and should definitely be better than the last one, which sucked.
| |
@jdennis, are you talking about "Dare You to Move" (likely) or "Meant to Live" (slightly less likely)
| |
@xtoxin "meant to live" all the military cover bands that played downtown used to kill (overplay) that song. i honestly couldn't tell you another one of their songs including dare you to move which i'm actually gonna listen to just to see if i've heard it before.
| |
i had that elitist mentality that anything that got radio play sucked so i never really even gave them a chance. but it did really annoy me cause every 3 bars i went to growing up had a band playing "meant to live"
| |
5 Sputnik bucks that this is the worst song on the album. There's also another single released somewhere called restless. Jon foreman is the man.
| |
@jdennis, Ah yeah I can see why. I liked the song, but I definitely think overexposure would kill it
| |
Anyone who has listened to 'Dirty Second Hands', 'Overthrow' or 'Circles' is daft for thinking Switchfoot is mediocre.
| |
@Waior about to listen to those songs now to see if it changes my opinion of the band. Not saying that you care what we think, just sayin i'm gonna check em out haha.
| |
but i'm going to take my lunch break and get really high first.
| |
The beginning sounds just like Lenny Kravitz
| |
I like it. Kind of generic but I still enjoy it. The 'hey' in the chorus is one of the most uninterested 'heys' I have ever heard though...
| |
Yes Waior has heard Overthrow!
| |
listened to all the songs Waior mentioned. all of them were decent tracks, definitely not as shitty as i thought but still pretty mediocre to me. although the songs usually have to be awesome to hold my attention the first lsten through
| |
''I like it. Kind of generic but I still enjoy it. The 'hey' in the chorus is one of the most uninterested 'heys' I have ever heard though...''
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!
| |
Not a fan of Switchfoot...The Sound was pretty beast though.
| |
I can't figure out why anyone would hate this band. We should be encouraging straight-ahead rock, not bashing it because it doesn't have vuvuzelas and bouzoukis like whatever pale, emaciated pseudo-experimental Pitchfork-approved hipster-of-the-week does.
About the worst you can say about them is that they're boring; other than that, they're pretty much totally inoffensive. I still think Nothing Is Sound is a really good record, though.
