whoa, dude. this isn't very good at all.
it's amazing to see how much frusciante added to the band.
| |
I didn't think it was that bad, it's a pleasant listen at the very least. It was pretty cool rhythmically, reminded me slightly
of a chilled out "Show Me Your Soul."
| |
boring
| |
I really liked it. To be honest, I was quite let down on first listen but it gets better on repeat listens. Josh is no John Frusciante but I absolutely love that bluesy Eric Clapton-esque riff he comes in with on the chorus. Far from their best but not even close to their worst. At the very least, I'll check out the new album.
| |
i thought the guitar was dope! anthony kiedis' performance was wack as usual though
| |
There was really nothing bad about the song other than some Kedis moments. But it was still really boring
| |
i like it, still holding out hope that the new album will be good
| |
song was pretty ok
I hope that's not the best on the album
| |
I LIKED IT
| |
ZzZzZzZZZZzz....
| |
its ok. just glad not to hear california.. yet..
| |
need to hear the rest of the album, but sounds fairly fresh for them.....It will be a pretty good album methinks
| |
wasnt bad, still looking forward to hearing the whole album
| |
Good, but a bit too repetitive.
| |
Not too bad. Not their best but nice beat and rhythm so it's pretty memorable.
| |
I bet someone that there will be mention of California in one of their songs on this album. Keidis just can't stop talking about it. I don't like their pop rock stuff, and Keidis is the downfall of their new material.
| |
that was bad
| |
the guitar is cool though
| |
Most definitely not a RHCP classic and should not have been the lead single for this. I hope the rest of the album is better than this. It is an average song. I have only listened to it once so maybe it will grow on me.
| |
I didn't really like the chorus, but the rest of the song is excellent.
| |
Not very impressive.
| |
I like it more and more with every listen but it definitely will fall through the cracks of their catalog a few months from now. But for now it's a nifty song.
| |
needs more cow bell
| |
sooooo boring 3/10
| |
Verse is decent but chorus sucks
Never really been a fan of these guys though
| |
I really liked it after a couple of listens, won't get those lines out of my head anytime soon. Guess I'd give it a 7/10. Of course they've got the that's-my-favourite-band-bonus.
| |
People are already rating the album on the bands page? why?
| |
Not bad, but easily forgettable.
| |
"People are already rating the album on the bands page? why?"
cos people are idiots
| |
lol
| |
'I bet someone that there will be mention of California in one of their songs on this album. Keidis just can't stop talking about it. I don't like their pop rock stuff, and Keidis is the downfall of their new material.'
Wtf are you talking about, new material. You came to that conclusion from one song?
| |
6 out of !0.
| |
Sounds like a b-side from Stadium Arcadium. Also, I'm digging that artwork.
| |
really boring
| |
yeah artwork is awesome
| |
Pretty good
| |
Didn't think it was too bad.
| |
Sounds like a b-side from Stadium Arcadium. [2]
Didn't sound that bad to be honest. I agree with the chorus not being so good, though.
| |
bitch, i'm walking on sunshine
| |
Gonna rule the mainstream rock charts
| |
chili peppers without frusciante = duurrrrrrrrrrr heeeeeeeeeeeey nowwwwwwwwwwwww... shit how did snow hey ho go again ah fuck it heeeeeeeeeeeeeyyy nowwwwwwwwww
wasn't that bad though
| |
Pretty cool song.
| |
That may be one of the worst song names I've ever seen.
This is...okay. Definitely feel some more funk undertones from their older days.
This band without Frusciante just isn't the same though. He was the heart and soul of the group, and it's no surprise they went right to shit when he left in the mid-90s and only got better when he returned.
Decent song. Nothing special.
| |
3/5
| |
Meh, it's decent I guess. Hopefully the rest of the album will be better.
| |
after the first 10 seconds i could hear exactly where the song was going. after about 2 minutes, i turned it off.
worse than the new Blink single.
| |
i feel like anthony kiedis is too old to say cock-blocking at this point.
| |
Wasnt so sure at first.....but it grew on me.
| |
I thought it was pretty damn solid
| |
i really like it
| |
chorus sucks song is good [5]
| |
decent stuff, even though I like the funky red hot more
| |
thought it would be worse. still pretty meh though
| |
The dude in the top right of the band pic looks exactly like Will Ferrell.
Just saying.
| |
better than the new blink song at least haa
| |
that was pretty average. The best part was, surprisingly, the lead guitar. I still miss Frusciante hard though, and I'm pretty sure the album will be meh.
| |
Say what you will, but this kicks the shit out of the new blink single
| |
Well that was boring
| |
I actually thought this was pretty enjoyable. Not mind-blowing or anything, but there's still enough here to make me at least semi-curious about the new record.
| |
yea its prob better than the blink single but
| |
I seriously wish these guys would stop making music. NOT that I think they're especially terrible; it's just that they are all the local radio station ever plays :l
| |
its pretty... meh. like, its not terrible, but... I don't really care...
dude still looks like Will Ferrell.
| |
Not groundbreaking, but still good. That guitar break was a little annoying, but other than that it sounds like Stadium Arcadium with more funk bass. The percussion's pretty cool in this - more interesting than it generally is in an RHCP song.
I can dig it.
| |
I posted this yesturday!
Love love love the new song! (Even if Frusciante is my favourite musician!)
Josh was a little too quiet in the mix guitarwise and backing vocal wise however his layers of subtle but cool guitar work is really awesome an impressive.
Absolutely dying to hear the new record!
| |
yeah a new song from a band i've never given a fuck about. heard it to bore myself a bit
| |
kinda felt unfinished to me
| |
"tick tock, i wanna rock you like the 80's, cock blocking isn't a lie."
Thanks, anthony.
| |
I liked this quite a bit. Josh's work impresses me a lot, adds a new flavor to the band.
| |
One step away from goddamn elevator music.
| |
"One step away from goddamn elevator music."
No
| |
Meh, song sucked
| |
"No"
Yes
| |
"Yes"
No
| |
meh
| |
kiedis is a fantastic vocalist so it's good that his voice is always really loud in the mix
| |
kiedis is a fantastic vocalist so it's good that his voice is always really loud in the mix
Except this isn't one of his better performances, he falls flat in quite a few places.
I think the song needed to be mixed a little better, it's a bit of a mess in that regard. Guitar work is fine though, Josh has potential, and the overall feel of the song was enjoyable. It's ultimately a good b-side, not a lead single, and I want to hear the latter before I hear more of the former.
| |
kiedis is not a fantastic vocalist. At all.
| |
I can now see why guys are saying it sounds like a S.A B-side.
| |
Except this isn't one of his better performances, he falls flat in quite a few places.
kiedis is not a fantastic vocalist. At all.
um no offense but i think i know what i'm talking about, i've analyzed the performance closely and he hits every note. kiedis is probably the most naturally gifted vocalist of the past 30 years and raindance maggie is yet another feather in his cap
| |
"kiedis is probably the most naturally gifted vocalist of the past 30 years"
orly?
| |
Reminds me a bit of Built to Spill. But RHCP does it wrong.
| |
yo pique
| |
sup
| |
Why the fuck is everyone comparing this to new Blink
| |
go back to Man U pique... the era of barca is over
| |
Not bad, not great either.
| |
barca just handed man u their own ass in the Champs final didn't they?
| |
not bad. can't wait for the video.
| |
most average RHCP song i've heard yet, i put this on and essentially forgot it was playing for the whole 5 mins, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
| |
Thought it was somewhat tasty actually.
| |
I like it
gettin catchier by the minute.
| |
Yo Josh!, I'm really happy for you. Imma let you finish, but Frusciante is the best red hot chili peppers guitarist of all time!
| |
I had no hopes going into this, and I came out with less. Horrible song, they need John's strung out ass back in the band SO BAD.
| |
Kiedis is the worst male vocalist in the biz. Officially.
| |
He was the bomb in "Scar Tissue".
Good song. Won't be the best on the album, guaranteed.
| |
"kiedis is probably the most naturally gifted vocalist of the past 30 years"
Haha wow....just wow...
| |
3/5
| |
top right is will ferrel
| |
what a novel observation
"Haha wow....just wow..."
yeah you were the only person gullible enough to take that comment seriously well done
| |
Feels more like an album track. I'll still listen to the album, but my hopes aren't high
| |
"yeah you were the only person gullible enough to take that comment seriously well done"
Sure. RHCP fanboy.
| |
The little Claptonesque leads in the chorus are pretty cool but I kinda hate this band, specifically Kiedis
| |
None of us can picture the song as part of the album yet, it's difficult to say how well it'll fit in. Chorus was so boring, but the song was alright. Just gotta wait & see
| |
Sweet Peppers
| |
None of us can picture the song as part of the album yet, it's difficult to say how well it'll fit in.
Spot on. However, because I don't see how this will fit into an album, I'm assuming that we're going to have another Stadium Arcadium on our hands with all these different sounds and energies. I loved Arcadium, but anything too similar would just be a fucking two out of five.
| |
I love Stadium Arcadium, but I found this pretty forgettable.
| |
i actually really dug the groove here. it doesn't have that one awesome hook that all the great Chili Peppers songs do, but it's still really enjoyable. and honestly, if they sacrificed some of those hooks for a really focused, cohesive album (something they still have yet to accomplish), i'd be totally fine with that. here's to hoping they can do it!
| |
bad and booooring
| |
First time i heard this i thought it was alright, but wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. Then i thought it was boring as dog shit. But now i kinda like it.
| |
i was kinda put down at first but its really good after a few repeats
| |
