Messengers is great, some people just can't get past all the breakdowns that litter the album and such. Constellations would be a 4.5 from me if not for the terrible production.

ABR is one of few metalcore bands that I can still enjoy, pity that this song is so uninspired.

I'm getting worried. I can't listen to this because I'm at work, but I was really hoping that this album would surpass Constellations. It doesn't seem like that's going to happen, though.

And I don't know what you guys are talking about with the production of Constellations. It sounds fine to me.

They say "production" when they mean "output". Constellations' output is lower than Messengers' (which
is way over the top); I also like Constellations' production better, sounds more accesible.

Yea it seems like since the home dvd his vocals have changed allot. His highs are pretty bad now.

The vocals only seem to be drastically different on this song; the others seemed fine. It was definitely the first thing I noticed though.

But his highs are pretty present in all their songs. (along with the bassist who does backup highs). Though his high were god awful on the dvd and on each song they have released they sound different....to me at least.

If you were looking to buy a specific brand of car and some models weren't as good as the others, you would just easily cross off those poor models and pick from the ones you really like.

I like the sound of metalcore when it's done right, so I listen to those good bands and ignore the rest.

This and the new Unearth album are shaping up to be...very disappointing. I guess I'll just throw all my hopes into the new All Shall Perish album. If that isn't good either 2011 will officially be a fail in the music department as far as I'm concerned. "The year of lots of albums that were supposed to be epic but actually sucked ass". Yup. That's what I'll call it.

I think it was a poor choice to release the songs with sing-a-long lyrics. Not only is learning them half the fun (as with most metalcore bands, any vocals that aren't clean are typically incoherent)... but this band and the genre as a whole aren't exactly known for their lyrical prowess. Barring a few bands and individual songs.

Just sayin.

i'm an abr fan, and like the track, but i think their sound is starting to get a bit unremarkable/tired. simply nothing new here at all. i'm hoping the new album has a few new wrinkles to distinguish it from their other releases, otherwise i suspect i will get bored quickly.

well internal cannon had the salsa, which was different for them. So there's hope. But yeah, the other two songs sound typical ABR. Which isn't bad but, like you said, is getting tired.
