Didn't they just release a song?
|

|

|
| |
love the melodic bits around 2 minutes in
|
| |
This one didn't have any salsa ;(
|
| |
theyre releasing songs like crazzyyyyy
|

It was okay.
|
| |
lol those lyrics
|
| |
this song was so like
uninteresting
and fuck yeah wyankeif
m/ m/ m/ m/ m/
|
| |
eh, it was better than Empire just because of the last third. not as good as Internal Cannon
fuckin yeah m/
|
| |
It was ok.
|
| |
I'm loving the breakdown in this song, good shit. This album is shaping up to rival Constellations.
|
| |
i like internal cannon a lot. them clean sections, man.
empire needs moar

|
| |
I hate that brown chord.
|
| |
Great song
|
| |
don't get me wrong, i like it when it's used tastefully... but not from august burns red.
|
| |
i love it, Exoplanet is 48 minutes of it interspersed with bleep bloop and sweepz
|
| |
album is probably gonna be a high 2 for me
|
| |
exactly.
but the contortionist tunes to drop g#
|
| |
well, you have Messengers at a 2.5, and since this is going to be better than that album (not hard because Messengers sucked) you will give it at least a 2.5.
|
| |
man, i way overrated messengers then
constellations was sorta good
|
| |
This will be worth much more than a 2
|
| |
still, i'm assuming this will be on a similar level as Constellations. keep in mind that they aren't gonna release songs like Meridian or Marianas Trench before the album drops: they're gonna release songs like Empire or White Washed.
|
| |
love constellations
like a lot of messengers
just not at an extremely high volume
|
| |
Messengers is great, some people just can't get past all the breakdowns that litter the album and such. Constellations would be a 4.5 from me if not for the terrible production.
|
| |
dude, Constellations had good production. Messengers had the shitty production.
|
| |
I don't like the production on either.
|
| |
I like messengers better than constellations.
|
| |
constellations wasn't like
loud enough
|
| |
Everything just sounds so terribly distant on Constellations, especially on headphones. Messengers had a much more raw, loud, and heavy feel to it.
|
| |
"VeilOfOsiris"
"I like messengers better than constellations."
guess how much i value your opinion?
|
| |
exactly. I always feel like I'm listening to constellations through a distant cave.
messengers had amazing production
|
| |
oh and fuck veil of meya
that is all
|
| |
If Constellations had the production that Messengers had it would be soooooooo good.
|
| |
It's definitely different, but I got a really strong As I Lay Dying vibe from the first half, especially with Jake's vocals.
|
| |
this was pretty bad sorry
|
| |
Thank god there was no fucking salsa.
|
| |
a really strong As I Lay Dying vibe
|
| |
this song is ok. nothing special.....just ok. Empire was way better imo
|
| |
"Thank god there was no fucking salsa."
yeah, fuck experimentation
|
| |
lmfao @ the aild comment
|
| |
album is shaping to be awesome
|
| |
sputnik = troll nation
|
| |
I don't like aild.
|
| |
Without AILD, none of this shit would exist.
|
| |
lol @ that comment
|
| |
@Trebor, Very True.
I'm waiting on Poor Millionare to be released
|
| |
lololol when abr was releasing messengers aild opened for them
your argument is invalid
abr >>>>x100 aild
|
| |
abr >>>>X100 aild
x2
|
| |
ABR opened for AILD, I was there.
I meant the scene in general, not so much ABR.
|
| |
not in birmingham.
i remember cause evergreen terrace scared all the jesusfreaks away
|
| |
Evergreen Terrace suck.
|
| |
i agree. but i was just saying.
|
| |
lol those lyrics, this song is average at best
|
| |
I miss Thrill Seeker.
|
| |
Without AILD, none of this shit would exist.
agreed, fuck AILD
|
| |
lol?
|
| |
yes
|
| |
AILD copied Zao, TDWP copied AILD, and all the scene bands copy TDWP.
It's the cycle of shitty metalcore.
|
| |
Hey faggots, Evergreen Terrace rules.
Messengers has the fucking worst production
|
| |
ok.
|
| |
dat wahlberg
|
| |
Metalcore threads always bring in the retards.
|
| |
Fuck you Maniac, gonna go unfriend you on fb
|
| |
back when josh fountain was marky mark...
|
| |
Wasn't talking about you, retard.
|
| |
definitely the worst song they've released for this album so far. Not even close to Internal Cannon especially.
|
| |
I'll pass on this. Sounds like shit. Of course after Constellations I didn't expect anything anyways.
|
| |
"I'll pass on this. Sounds like shit. Of course after Constellations I didn't expect anything anyways."
i'll defer to something that Maniac! said earlier.
"Metalcore threads always bring in the retards."
|
| |
constellations sucked
|
| |
Messengers had weird production. Like too loud or something.
|
| |
^^^^ EXACTLY.
|
| |
Song is good, but doesn't touch internal cannon
|
| |
Don't reference me, Kroner.
|
| |
pretty sweet
|
| |
song was boring.
|
| |
Song is god-awful by ABR standards. I'm starting to get really worried now.
|
| |
The weakest song I've ever heard from ABR
just generic Metalcore
|
| |
Decent song. Here's the album preview for all yall, has 30 second samples for each song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHSmOIyeXlg
|
| |
none of the songs have been a patch on anything on Constellations. Hope is fading.
|
| |
Not as good as the last few, still good though.
|
| |
"sputnik = troll nation"
OH. CANADA.
|
| |
Pretty decent the least interesting of the 3 but still good. However, wtf is going on with Jake's vocals they sound nothing like the previous 2 albums.
|
| |
Wow, I was impressed with this. That was an awesome song.
|
| |
not good really
|
| |
I like ABR and all, but 4 same sounding albums is just too much.
Oh, and song sucks.
|
| |
Easily the weakest of the three songs, the other two were great and this kinda sucks ass
|
| |
ABR is one of few metalcore bands that I can still enjoy, pity that this song is so uninspired.
I agree that Jakes voice is sounding pretty different from their last album, which is not a good thing.
Moar salsa.
|
| |
I'm getting worried. I can't listen to this because I'm at work, but I was really hoping that this album would surpass Constellations. It doesn't seem like that's going to happen, though.
And I don't know what you guys are talking about with the production of Constellations. It sounds fine to me.
|
| |
They say "production" when they mean "output". Constellations' output is lower than Messengers' (which
is way over the top); I also like Constellations' production better, sounds more accesible.
|
| |
album is gonna fuckin rule
|
| |
This album will undoubtedly have more variety than Messengers, though. Look at live performances of the song "Poor Millionaire". Rapes.
|
| |
This isn't horrible, still better than a lot of their material.
I noticed it on the first song they released, Jake's voice is way different. I honestly think it sounds horrible on this song. I think his screams were best overall on Messengers, but he had his moments on Constellations.
|
| |
''Pretty decent the least interesting of the 3 but still good. However, wtf is going on with Jake's vocals they sound nothing like the previous 2 albums. ''
Yea it seems like since the home dvd his vocals have changed allot. His highs are pretty bad now.
|
| |
Jake isn't known for his highs though.
|
| |
The vocals only seem to be drastically different on this song; the others seemed fine. It was definitely the first thing I noticed though.
|
| |
why do people listen to new metalcore
|
| |
But his highs are pretty present in all their songs. (along with the bassist who does backup highs). Though his high were god awful on the dvd and on each song they have released they sound different....to me at least.
|
| |
Jake isn't known for his highs though.
Some of his highs on Messengers were pretty awesome imo. Anyway, don't love it, don't hate it... but that bothers me, ABR is the band that got me into metalcore I'd hate to see them lose their touch this quickly.
|
| |
it'll probably sound better when its not youtube quality hurr durr
|
| |
Yeah Jake rules on Messengers. Thats his best vocal performance imo. The beginning of The Truth Of A Liar proves it.
|
| |
yo mouf iz liek a bronade
|
| |
oh man, they replaced the michelin man band pic :/
|
| |
"why do people listen to new metalcore"
why not? if it's good, it's good. Sure, there's a lot of crappy metalcore, but there are crappy bands in every genre. Just because some bands suck doesn't mean the whole genre does.
If you were looking to buy a specific brand of car and some models weren't as good as the others, you would just easily cross off those poor models and pick from the ones you really like.
I like the sound of metalcore when it's done right, so I listen to those good bands and ignore the rest.
|
| |
satellite, WHAT THE FUCK is up with dirtfest this year
the rock station took it over and made it pussy
|
| |
what?!
|
| |
yeah it's back but the it's all bands like janus and silverstein
fucking gay
|
| |
All that Remains
Times of Grace (featuring Jessie Leach and Adam Dutkiewicz of Killswitch Engage)
Evans Blue
Silverstein
Alien Ant Farm
Janus
Burn Halo
oh gawd that's fucking depressing. they used to get sweet bands to play.
|
| |
yeah, banana 101.5 became the main sponser and fucked it over
god I hate that station
|
| |
hopefully it's a flop this year but i really doubt it.
the 2007 lineup ruled. that's how i got into la dispute and btbam.
|
| |
They use that "deathcore chord" on Back Burner
|
| |
Ugh this song is not very good. Sounds just like everything else they've done, but with worse lyrics.
|
| |
Song was pretty cool. Not better then either of the other two, but still good.
|
| |
Was pretty deece. I like the other two they released more, but this was alright too.
|
| |
I didn't like it as much as the others. After listening to the album preview there are way better songs to come.
|
| |
where is the album preview?
|
| |
the comment right above your previous comment:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHSmOIyeXlg
|
| |
great thank you. Some of the songs sound better off the preview but i don't think this is going to even come close to constellations.
|
| |
@Sspedding no one can be sure until release day ;)
|
| |
Empire is still my favorite released so far.
|
| |
Loving this so hard, the vocalist kicks ass.
|
| |
Not diggin this song much, 2nd song was better. though i'm pretty excited to hear the 'Poor Millionare' studio version
|
| |
so bad lol
|
| |
l0l omg
wtf is this?
fuckn emo shit LOL!!
|
| |
The melodic part is pretty cool actually. And I dig that m/ riff during that breakdown. The breakdown itself was pretty ugh though.
|
| |
@thebat675: no, just...no....
|
| |
it was so hard to find a groove.
|
| |
sounds sweet, internal cannon beats all so far
|
| |
This and the new Unearth album are shaping up to be...very disappointing. I guess I'll just throw all my hopes into the new All Shall Perish album. If that isn't good either 2011 will officially be a fail in the music department as far as I'm concerned. "The year of lots of albums that were supposed to be epic but actually sucked ass". Yup. That's what I'll call it.
|
| |
Did anyone else think that the use of 3 or 4 fade outs in Constellations was way over done?
Especially for a metal band, thats just tacky
|
| |
what about pussies with testicles? Can it be destroyed then?
|
| |
I think it was a poor choice to release the songs with sing-a-long lyrics. Not only is learning them half the fun (as with most metalcore bands, any vocals that aren't clean are typically incoherent)... but this band and the genre as a whole aren't exactly known for their lyrical prowess. Barring a few bands and individual songs.
Just sayin.
|
| |
i think its a good idea. people are gonna check this out regardless and realize there are better songs on it.
|
| |
i dunno, i always thought august burns red had good lyrics...
|
| |
yeah the lyrics are awesome
|
| |
The more I listen the more I like it. Only one breakdown too, which is refreshing. The melodic end is really good.
|
| |
yeah the lyrics are awesome LOL
|
| |
@wittwright
did you not sense that my comment, was, possibly, sarcastic?
|
| |
you're nothing if not a master of wit in that case sir
|
| |
This actually did not impress me. It's solid, but not great. Will give it a few more listens.
|
| |
doesn't even touch Internal Cannon. Still not bad though.
|
| |
i'm an abr fan, and like the track, but i think their sound is starting to get a bit unremarkable/tired. simply nothing new here at all. i'm hoping the new album has a few new wrinkles to distinguish it from their other releases, otherwise i suspect i will get bored quickly.
|
| |
well internal cannon had the salsa, which was different for them. So there's hope. But yeah, the other two songs sound typical ABR. Which isn't bad but, like you said, is getting tired.
|
| |
Internal Cannon > Empire > Divisions
|
| |
I've come to the conclusion that: Fuck this song
|
| |
they just posted poor millionaire. Miles better than any of the first three songs.
|
| |
