Shit. Yes.
|
| |
I think if this will be on Amazon I might buy it.
|
| |
I live in Germany so the importing is pretty brutal. That could drive the price up to 40-50€ for a CD - which is a lot.
|
| |
shud b gud
|
| |
This didn't take long lol.
|
| |
"From Bandcamp? It's shipping from Ireland so it shouldn't be that much. Try Richtercollective.com - says 5 euros shipping to Germany."
Ah, pardon me. I thought bandcamp would be U.S. Well, if that's the case I might get it there.
|
| |
Or here http://asiwyfa.bandcamp.com/
|
| |
Based off of the first track, I already like this better than their first LP.
|
| |
I think I will have to check this out. I like their self-titled. Be back in a bit...
|
| |
heavy post-rock
|
| |
Based off of the first track, I already like this better than their first LP.
well that's a silly thing to say, unless you mean the first track brought you more enjoyment than their whole debut did
|
| |
fucking acronyms man
|
| |
This is not post-rock. It's not even rock.
It's instrumental metalcore or something along those lines.
Just because they don't have a vocalist doesn't make it post-rock. Sigur Ros has a pretty well known
vocalist, and they're probably the most recognizable post-rock band (save maybe GY!BE)
EDIT: And I agree with the De Sylvia guy.
|
| |
SGTK is amazing. More amazing than BEAUTIFU...
I still expect to enjoy this more than their debut. I saw these guys live with Maybeshewill but didn't pay attention because conversation with Maybeshewill was too awesome.
|
| |
band is really closer to math rock than anything but post rock is perfectly legitimate
|
| |
If you've seen these guys live then you would never call them post rock.
|
| |
Yeah, don't listen to me on genres. I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, to be honest. I know
it's something hardcore-'ish, and it's only instrumentals.
I may be simple folk, though I do know one thing. ASIWYFA is NOT post-rock. Do you honestly think that
bands like GY!BE, Explosions in the Sky, or Sigur Ros sound anything like ASIWYFA? They are two
totally separate sounds. Not even close to each other.
EDIT: Holy fucking shit. Search:Party:Animal may have the most spine tingling opening in music ever.
Holy balls I have goosebumps. Buying this ASAP
|
| |
this sounds like great driving music
|
| |
yeah and talk talk and explosions in the sky also sound completely different don't they. you don't
have to be a carbon copy of every other band to be the same genre.
but srs who cares tho right
|
| |
This thing fucking rules and genres do not.
|
| |
"I think moving more than 3 inches on stage is enough to disqualify you from being post rock."
Haha, yeah, these guys are pretty active live. I've been meaning to check them out more.
Also, I've always considered them instrumental emo/sceamo if that even makes sense.
|
| |
post-post-hardcore-rock
|
| |
Is it good? I bet so.
I'll listen now.
|
| |
This is just.
Wow.
Man, May is the month for great albums.
Simple Math, Tunnel Blanket, and Gangs all drop in the first week/week and a half of May.
I'm gonna be so broke.
|
| |
I love how lax "7 Billion People all Alive at Once" is, it's really chilled out, but busy at the same time.
This thing is superb so far.
|
| |
Will check this out when I get home, but I'm already tempted to buy it blindsighted from work now. =)
EDIT: Aw, fuck it, I'm ordering
|
| |
I don't think this matches up to their debut from the first listen. The album is more consistent than their first, but has no real ripper tracks like Set Guitars to Kill and I Capture Castles. Some songs are too repetitive in parts, and others are too proggy with no real direction. Wouldn't give this above a 4 but its still solid! Standouts for me are Search:Party:Animal, Homes.. Samara to to Belfast and the closer Lifeproof.
|
| |
"Instrumental Metalcore"
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
In other news, I'm so so so pumped this is streaming, can't wait to listen to it.
2011 RULES
|
| |
Hoo-fuckin-ray
|
| |
Beautiful...universemasterchampion!! ASIWYFA Rulz!!
|
| |
going to see them tomorow night for the 3rd time, so I should hear plenty of this album live!
|
| |
that new song they released a while ago fucking rocks, and i like their self titled a lot so gonna get this.
|
| |
Never heard these guys before, but this is great. I'm not complaining, but I can only wonder how they'd sound with a fitting vocalist. It doesn't sound lacking, but seriously, if they can produce this quality of music alone, imagine it with some great vocals.
|
| |
vocals would just be swallowed up by the instruments.
I think it's better like it is. One of their songs does have vocals, however. It's on an older release. I believe the song is called,"More Than Power."
|
| |
There are kind of vocals in this record and the debut, too. But it's just a crowd singing along instead of "real vocals". But I also think that a vocalist would most likely destroy the atmosphere.
|
| |
^^^ Agreed. It's so powerful as it stands, just raw instrumental punches in the face. If you added a vocalist to that, he'd overshadow the intensity of the instruments.
|
| |
This is really damn good. Although I still think I like their S/T more, although I've only listened to this twice so.
|
| |
Haven't looked forward to a post-rock release (haha sorry, couldn't resist) this much before, so stoked to listen.
|
| |
Listening.
This sounds good.
