Crikey. I knew she was pretty popular but didn't think it was to that extent.
|
| |
Hooray for mediocrity
|
| |
I've never heard of this chick :S
|
| |
she probably broke it by sitting on it.
|
| |
^LOL
But seriously she's got an amazing voice. Album's pretty good
|
| |
Album has been (maybe still is) #1 in the US as well. Kept Rise Against off top spot last week.
Oh, and '21' rules. I love it when an artist takes most of the flaws of their debut LP & corrects them 2nd time around.
|
| |
Now she's huge in 2 ways I suppose.
|
| |
May have to acquire 21 tomorrow
|
| |
this should be sia in her position
|
| |
I swear she isn't even that good
|
| |
YT'd her to see who she was. Watched Rolling in the Deep.
1:19-1:22 = LOL
|
| |
Good for her. She's not that bad. I actually find her new album to be somewhat decent. I listen to it every once in awhile and enjoy it.
And I don't care if she's plump, I'd still tap that. Without hesitation.
|
| |
ewww
|
| |
she has a kind of cute face
still naw
|
| |
I dont even know who this is.
|
| |
You're not missing out.
|
| |
more cushin for the pushin
|
| |
Her one song on the radio is pretty catchy
|
| |
She's got an amazing voice, great songwriting full of emotion. Not sure what's not to like tbh. Rather listen to Adele than all these other female singers who just autotune the shit out of their voice
|
| |
News is not surprising.
|
| |
yea every1 talks about her atm especially girls usually fat
|
| |

I can't find any emotion in her songwriting, I find it incredibly bland and dry. Her only selling point is that she's "genuine", just because she's fat and has a retro-y voice. Good for her, too bad she's as bland as the pop stars she's trying to not be
|
| |
Don't agree, there's plenty of emotion in her voice
|
| |
She's talented and makes good music. If any pop artist these days is going to top the charts I'd want it to be someone actually talented like her.
Also, I could immediately tell by the exclamation point at the end who this news article was written by lol.
|
| |
She's got the voice, but doesn't know what to do with it. I read plenty of posts on my Facebook about girls crying to Someone Like You, and I get no reaction from it whatsoever. It wouldn't sound out of place on a fucking Susan Boyle album.
I'd rather have someone manufactured but actually interesting in the charts. Like Gaga.
|
| |
If you don't think her music is personal and emotional, watch her Brits performance of Someone Like You. It fucking rules.
|
| |
LOL at all the fat jokes.

| |

This
That's the performance that made me think she was the real deal pretty much. She nailed it so much
|
| |
She even managed to make a cheryl cole song sound not completely lifeless.
|
| |
I haven't heard the album yet so I can't really comment on its quality, but what confuses me when things like this spend so long at the top is who is still buying them? This was the albums biggest selling week so far with it being Mothers Day and all, but surely just about everyone who wants the album has it by now?
Apparently not...
|
| |
Yeah I think that Ali, surely if you like the single etc, you would have bought the album a while back
|
| |
I mean obviously there are always going to be some stragglers, but in the past few weeks this has kept albums by The Strokes, REM and Jessie J off the top.
|
| |
Album is fairly average apart from a couple of great tracks, it doesnt deserve to be up there for that long, but if you look at the state of the UK charts she's not up against much . . . well Radiohead and The Strokes -_-
|
| |
yeah was surprised as fuck to see this chick #1 in american charts. no idea who this is
|
| |
Who's she?
|
| |
Checked her out on youtube. Not impressed at all.
Joss Stone is > Adele in every way (if we're talking about female Soul singers from the UK)
Edit: Joss > Adele in every way, Except for weight! Huk huk huk
|
| |
I'm sure I remember hearing about her going out for a cigarette somewhere and getting her arse stuck in some railings. No idea whether it's true or not but either way it's a funny story.
|
| |
Wow a lot of haters... I dunno why cuz shes puttin out better music then 90% of the shit on the radio these days.
|
| |
u can't beat a fat lass.
|
| |
confesh: i didn't know what 'lass' meant until pokemon red
|
| |
Dude, she actually has a good voice.
|
| |
BOOOOOO! I've never heard her music but I'm sure it's mediocre radio bullshit
|
| |
NO FAT CHICKS! NO FAT CHICKS! NO FAT CHICKS!
|
| |
fr33; spending a whole year at #1 deserves an exclamation point.
|
| |
And here come the pretzels!
|
| |
Britain needs a better champion pop artist
|
| |
lol @title
had to....
Great voice though; there's no denying that shit.
|
| |
Album is fine but boring for me.
|
| |
If you don't think her music is personal and emotional, watch her Brits performance of Someone Like You. It fucking rules.
Nope. Just sounds like faux sentimentality to me
|
| |
Not that keen on her music, its okay, however her voice is excellent.
Certainly better than 95% of the music released atm, and deserves to be where it is.
|
| |

Agreed. I mean, her voice isn't the best by any means, there are better vocalists out there. However, for a mainstream chart topper, at least she's got talent.
